I had a wonderful experience at Galaxy Lighting. I had been shopping for a couple months for a chandelier for my dining room that has a 19 foot high ceiling. I went to several other Lighting stores and when I mentioned the height of the ceiling most sales people would just stare at me or say something like "we don't have anything that will work". One salesperson handed me six, three-inch thick Lighting books to look through?

However, at Galaxy Lighting I met Karen Eckert. What a breath of fresh air it was to work with her! When I explained the situation I was facing with the very high ceiling, she listened carefully and recommended that the best option would be to custom design the chandelier. At first I thought "custom"...that will be too expensive. But the price was actually better than some of the comparable in-store items I had seen. She is very knowledgeable and helped me create the perfect chandelier for my space. I could not be happier with the chandelier and the wonderful experience I had working with Karen, a true sales professional...knowledgeable, patient and honest.

This place has great potential. The store is beautiful. They do have a large selection of lights but once your inside you find the staff is not as bright as the lighting. We are doing a complete gut rehab and needed lighting, and fans for our new house, inside and out. We had been there a couple of times and found the atmosphere very snobbish. That changed when we were there with our contractor. They followed us around like puppies but not really us, but our contractors. They wanted to impress our contractor so they would recommend them for future business. They even approached our contractor and tried to talk about other business, like we were not even there. We had picked out around 4,000.00 in lighting and fans and left the store and went on their website (which they tell you about constantly). We found a fan we liked better but we wanted to see it in person before buying three of them at 725.00 each. The staff we were working with told us that if we didn’t like it once it arrived we would have to pay a 25% restocking fee for each fan to return them. We asked if she would talk to the manager to waive the restocking fee. They came back and lowered it to a 20% restocking fee. I could understand if I was in there buying one item, but I was buying multiple items, lighting and fans. We quickly understood our business was not important to them. They only want to really work with contractors I guess. We found Wholesale Lighting and what a difference. Wholesale Lighting was super friendly, and offered to bring the fan in question in with no restocking fee. We ended up buying additional lighting and fans because Wholesale Lighting has actual lighting consultants that help you plan out what your doing. So if your in the area, don’t be fooled by the glitz of the store. They have a lot to learn about the lighting business. Go to Wholesale Lighting and learn what real customer service is like.

Absolutely love this store, it’s stunning!! Every light fixture looks like it could be in a mansion very up-to-date and all different styles. My sales associate was Kim she went over and beyond of what any sales person has ever done for me! Hand delivered the light fixture to my salon!! The prices are great compared to online and local stores they were able to beat everything I saw elsewhere and with a higher in style!! Can’t say thank you enough definitely will be back!!

If you haven't been before, it's difficult to describe.... take every lighting store you've ever been to and then turn the brightness and bling up to "11", and you are close!

Super friendly staff and a ton of items you just can't get at big box stores.

Please do not buy even a light bulb at Galaxy Lighting. Besides being significantly overpriced, they are dishonest (a polite way of saying they lie) and rude. Both the employee Karen and the owner Judy were disrespectful and lied about being unable to return or exchange a light fixture I purchased. No need for me to go into specifics, just be aware this is NOT the place you want to spend your hard earned money.They deserve zero stars, but this wouldn't register a review if I didn't choose at least one star.

Kim is wonderful!! We purchased a home in Latitude Margaritaville needing lights and fans for the whole house. She helped us to find just the right fans for the size of our rooms. We were given a discount for LM residents. Fans were ordered/paid for and delivered on the specified date. We had to make a few changes that were taken care of promptly. After moving in we discovered we needed another fan. We gave the measurements, Kim then researched for what we were looking for then sent an email with pictures.
We were so lucky to have found Galaxy Lighting for our new home lighting needs.
We have received many compliments about our beautiful lighting. We then tell them where we purchased our lights and fans.

Really nice store. Large space, modern and bright, clean, lots of ceiling lighting - chandeliers, etc. I was looking for a floor lamp - have to go online for those, other than a limited selection in-store.
