I can't say enough great things! My husband and I were attempting to make Ikea pine furniture look much fancier. The staining process was not going well! We wandered into this place in search of a stain. We had heard good things about a particular brand they were listed as selling (general finishes). Not only was the stain FAR superior to everything else we had tried, but the staff could not have been more helpful and full of tips for success! They were incredibly encouraging and empowering about our project. There was absolutely no pressure on the showroom floor. They could not have been more welcoming, even after they realized we weren't there to buy furniture. I will absolutely be going back for all my future wood reno projects! Plus, might I add, the raw furniture they had was beautiful and so reasonably priced!!! I will absolutely be buying furniture from them when I have the need. Go and enjoy this inspirational Gainesville space!

When I found this store a few years ago I was so excited. I had a custom table for 8 made and ordered all new bedroom furniture from them. Everything went perfect. I wish I could say that this trend continued but sadly it did not. I ordered another table and chairs for my breakfast nook this time that seats five. At that time I also ordered a side table. Ordering was the easy part and everything went downhill from there. When it was time to deliver my new table and side table the pedestal was not properly secured and broke. I understood that accidents happen so no big deal. However, we had discussed having the table skirt cut shorter since my family and I are so tall. This was never done. Also, we wanted the same gel finish that we have on our other table but it was not. During this time of trying to get the table correct I ordered an armoire. While waiting on the armoire to arrive we had the table picked up and dropped off about three times. Eventually, the owner refinished the table to ensure it was the gloss finish and not matte that we kept getting. In the time frame of trying to get it correct the side table came back with one of the drawers all scratched up (see pic below) as well as the finish applied on the table is now bubbling up (see pic) and there are spots the finish didn't take (see pic). When they came to deliver my armoire the dowel rod was too long to fit and the drawer gliders were not the upgraded ones I paid for. At this point I was done. I requested a refund as I couldn't seem to understand why no one was checking to make sure the orders were right ALL the times that they came back to me. The delivery boy also wiped dog poop on my sidewalk and asked me after if that was ok. To which I replied it's too late now you already did it. Apparently he didn't wipe it off good enough on our sidewalk so he scraped his shoe on our slate steps when I wasn't looking. I found this beautiful discovery after they had left. I am sad to say that I will never recommend this store or shop there ever again. They have beautiful items for sale but no one seems to care if they are correct before they bring them to your house. They cannot even seem to get it right the second or third time around either.

When my house burned down, I dealt for months with Wood You to help me furnish a new place.That was 8 years ago. Today I picked up two stools that they repaired and upgraded--with no charge! I can't say enough good things about this incredibly kind and ethical business. Just walking around in the large, airy, attractively arranged showroom is a pleasure in itself, and the furnishings are well designed, good quality, and affordable. Kudos to TJ in particular. <3

Wonderful staff, very friendly and helpful. Nice selection of solid unfinished wood furniture with professional finishing available. Purchased Dressers and Desk for Student housing and so far we are extremely happy with the products.

We recently bought a new house and wanted a new dining room table, chairs, and buffet/console as our last table/chairs was 15 years old from the last house that we bought. We decided to check Wood You out based on recommendations from locals we knew, and boy are we glad we did. It is a very unassuming looking business from the outside, in an older area of Gainesville off Main Street. Once you enter though, there is a huge showroom with tons of options for all types of custom, high quality wood furniture. The main gentleman we dealt with was knowledgeable, patient in answering all of our questions, and worked us a good deal for a farmhouse style dining table, 6 chairs stained to match the table, and a matching buffet/console. There was a delay in getting it made, stained, and delivered due to COVID19, but that was not the fault of the business. The furniture was delivered today and it is AWESOME. I cannot recommend this place more highly. Great service, awesome quality, and fair prices for the quality of REAL WOOD furniture they make. This is not the cookie cutter Ashley Furniture particle board stuff you are used to, this is real deal solid wood furniture that will last generations.

I've been buying from them for years. Different items since their furniture seems to last forever. TJ makes you feel like one of the family. He and the delivery guys are always helpful and friendly. Stained to exactly what I wanted for each item.

This place is fantastic! All excellent quality wood furniture. You can customize stains etc...
Staff was helpful but not pushy. We ordered a custom product but will go back again and again to purchase off the floor.
