The people who work here are not nice. I have been a Westport resident for over 30 years and have shopped here under the current ownership and the previous owners over the past decades. The previous owners were always very pleasant. Unfortunately, on multiple occasions, the current owners have been unfriendly to me and my wife. I like to patronize local businesses, but I will no longer be a customer at this store.

Family owned. Elda and Richard are always so kind to everyone ! Very friendly and always helpful workers. I recommend coming here if you are local. Always support small owned business and be sure if they don’t have it in stock they can get it for you just ask! Fair prices.

I worked for Torno Lumber & Hardware, Northern Tool & Equipment and Westport Hardware as well in the past and their store has remained true to providing local quality.

I've been going to Westport hardware for more than 50 years since I was a little kid and it's always been an incredible resource

If you're looking to do multiple projects around your house without wanting to drive to one of the big box like Home Depot or Lowe's you can find what you need at a reasonable price help even if it was 50% more or even double I would still go there just to save the hassle but the prices are reasonable and actually less than what you'd expect

The customer service is excellent and everybody cares about what they're doing

This is the way businesses in United States used to be run but sorry to say there's a small percentage that still have this level of Excellence

I plan on using Westport Hardware as a resource for a long long time

And... if you call and are put on hold, just bear with it. The people that they are giving help to, is the same level of service you're going to get if you are just patient.

their selection is limited for tools like vices, but they've got all the staple goods, all of the staff know where everything is, and they put up with you wandering. Often only one or two brands, but that's just hardware stores and they pick well.

no real bike parking to speak of, but you can chain lock to one of the support pillars in front so I'm not gonna take stars away for that

sure you could save two bucks at home depot but just give it to these folks instead

a very nice hardware store. They have a very nice assortment of items, well displayed, and well priced for a local hardware store in the likes of a Westport-type town. It's a very nice store. One thing they should change though, is to take down that big realtor sign in the front window, who apparently is or was someone's cousin or something. We called him once, because he had the store's endorsement, and he was not nice, not at all actually. it is not appropriate to have a giant sign for him in the front window, nor for his firm - which is really a cabal of slick-talking sharpers.

I want to say thank you to the only local hardware store our beloved town has left. Their customer service has always been on of a kind. Not only did they manage to find a safe way to stay open with curb side assistance during the uncertainty of things, but still were able to provide us with the best quality customer service. When facing challenges of low stock or shipment delays, they still found the time to reach out to us when those items came back in stock. It disappoints me to see negative reviews from those who are simply upset and freely throwing around a word that they have no right using when it comes down to the simplicity of their store policies. To know the every day challenges a local business already faces, now through a pandemic when they have the stresses of opening their door and being attacked for simply looking out for not just their loved ones but us, their customers, is very disturbing to me. Any store requesting for me to wear a mask while in their fucility only shows to me once again the respect and dedication they have for my family and their employees. Let's be real people, none of us finds these new challenging days to be ideal. You should be more concern about the places not requesting and implementing certain policies before attacking sales associates for doing their jobs. I can complain about my mask all day, but you'll still find me wearing it if I choose to enter a store for service of any kind. Please remember, your local businesses, the people working behind the counters, they are simply not the enemy here.
