I've had so many mixed encounters with this shop. Sometimes they go off without a hitch, sometimes they are terrible.
One that sticks to mind is an employee calling me a liar.....
I had run into an issue where i needed way more concrete than i expected. The owner was there that day, and let me make many runs. With the last run leaving the store after 2pm on a Saturday because he stayed and ensured my job got completed and i am forever grateful.
So upon talking to the staff at a later date trying to tell her i appreciate that store for going above and beyond, a female employee said there's no way anyone stays late, let alone let's concrete go out the door past 10am.
Well out of all the good experiences, the female employee that decided to call me a liar has really stuck with me.
But here's me receipt for that day of me paying for my last run on that Saturday. The owner was a stand up guy and let me finish my project.
I won't let this bad person keep me from using their services, I'm better than that. And so are the other employee's there that love their job and make the experience great.

Stay away!!!!These guys are complete trash rented me a truck and dolly for a cross country move immediately after driving off the lot the truck wheel starts violently shaking nonstop so we pulled over and called them immediately within 5 minutes of leaving just to be told we have to call corporate and they won’t do anything with a snarky attitude on top of everything so our trip was delayed half a day waiting for a new truck to be brought to us when we hook up the new truck the tow Dolly also has a taillight out so again waited another 6 hours for someone to come out and repair the taillight. Obviously this location did not inspect the truck or equipment whatsoever or even take any type of responsibility for letting us leave with faulty equipment. Definitely reporting this place

This True Value is full of CROOKS. I'd minus stars if I could. I rent concrete trailers from true value rentals on a regular basis. Mainly Crystal River. (But I have rented from their location 5 times in the last few months) Ive been in situations where you load the trailer up and you can't get it back before they close. I'm always there when the doors open. Maybe a few minutes behind, but not by much. Never in a situation where it costs true value any money. They charge me $500 for not making it there before they closed with the concrete trailer. They billed my card every 3 hours straight through the night. They couldn't even rent it out until they opened. They will not work with you. I've had the same situation happen in Crystal River and the manager out there has never charged me like this, they even still give me back the deposit. Because I always bring it back right away and clean. It's not even like I knew. They dont go over any of that with you. Its just " hey sign and initial." I rent machines from these places all the time. I will not be going back to this location. To top it off they didn't reset the time when I pulled up for my second load of concrete. I feel like they were trying to set me up and even if I did get the trailer back they were gonna hit me with some other charges. Because theres no way to make a 3 hour window when you were never even given the 3 hours. I recommend that you save yourself the headache and spend the extra 20 minutes to travel to Crystal River. The people out there are a lot better than the people in the Inverness. They are professional, reasonable, and honest. They work with you and they are understanding. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and disputing the charges. This isn't how you do business. As a small business owner, I highly do not recommend this company. Don't waste your time or money and don't trust them with your credit card information..

Avoid this place, Avoid chance of rip-off.
Rented trencher, only 30 minutes used.
They called Saterday, must have back by 8:AM Monday to avoid charges, we complied, they lied.

Great rental yard. Good knowledgable help. Good equipment in top shape. One caveat, I think the concrete mixing person should use the appropriate amount of water specified for a 5 sack mix.(6 qts per 90 lb bag?) He added water by hose and the mix was very dry, especially at the end. The fiber re-enforcing makes for rock solid concrete.

I have been a customer for a few months, and have rented several pieces of equipment. The employees, particularly, Randy are very knowledgeable. He helped me rent the best floor grinder to make sure my DIY floor project was done fast without having the quality suffer.

The counter staff has always greeted me with enthusiasm. I even bought a STIHL chainsaw and Evan was very helpful in making sure I picked the best homeowner saw for my needs.

Rented a skid steer for a week and damaged a light by accident. I was expecting to pay a ton since I know how Kubota is on replacement parts. They didn't even charge me. Said it was understandable accident and they would fix it. They also have good clean newer equipment. Not the junk that the old owners used to have.

I use this true value from time to time , my usual location is crystal river. On Memorial Day I came in and requested a 4 hour rental for the Skid Steer and Dump Trailer. Without realizing it I was handed a 24 hour contract. I was informed after signing the contract that they would be closing at 10 am. The hours listed on the website show normal business hours. I put 1.3 hours on the skid steer and returned it to them clean and full of diesel as requested. Justin up front informed me that they would not be willing to charge me for the 4 hour rental I requested and that in fact I will be responsible for the 24 hour charge. I paid the fee and later contacted both Crystal River True Value and True Value corporate who both told me that they do NOT condone the actions of True Value Inverness. With only 1.3 hours on the machine it is highly inappropriate to charge me for 24 hours when the hours listed on the website show normal times. 7-5

Unless this issue is corrected True Value Inverness has lost a high volume customer over bad customer service. I will only be using Sunbelt and the Crystal River location unless I am contacted and assisted by the owner.

On the bright side, this store has an excellent employee named Rocco. Rocco was polite, punctual, and probably be better off at the Competitors location. Rocco apologized profusely for his inability to help me pay for the appropriate rental time ( 4 hours)

As a business owner I would say it’s smart to avoid this location if you are looking for honesty and integrity. The hours posted online do not match what the people running the store say in person.
