Great staff always an hand willing to help out load bag of mulch, show you where things are, to help you brainstorm project. really thankful for the guys at true value. Plus, some of their sales are unbeatable.

As others have said, very high prices. I have been going there 4 years since I moved to PSJ. Always doing projects and in need of supplies. Every trip there is a new unknowledgeable employee. Last visit, a few minutes before closing, was immediately told how many minutes I had to get out. I have spent thousands of dollars in this place and will never go back. Will happily travel the extra 10 minutes to go to Home Depot. That being said, he does have a good inventory, if you want to spend the Xtra money.

I went to the to the store here in Port St John just to pick up a few things. The guy behind the counter was very good very pleasant but then this woman comes out and she was so rude. I won’t be coming back because of her that’s not how you treat customers that come in the store if you don’t like being there and working, there’s other jobs around you don’t need to be around customer service like I said she was just extremely rude not helpful at all but the young man that took care of me. He was very polite, very good and very professional Hats off to you young man I would’ve given more stars but because of her I went down not happy at all with the type of service that she has there. She just had a chip on her shoulder.

Went here to purchase wire strippers and crimp connections along with eletrical tape. Very overpriced store. Even with inflation. As much as I like supporting local shops this place was insane. Next time I'm going to homedepot

Been to this store many times in the past, only when I needed something very quickly, always left with a sour taste. People sucked and there was always issues at checkout with getting proper changes , I even witness a mother come in and question the manger or owner about her 14y old son buying spay paint.. he told her it's not his problem..
Now current time, my last 4-5 visits have been very pleasant, staff is assume, more than willing to help, it must be under to owners or at least management, it's a pleasure to spend my money there, I've been back to store 3 times this past weekend.

It has some of what you need. It's small and quick to shop, but it doesn't have everything. I ususally stop there first. People are very nice. Owners are great. They can't obviously compete with the big box stores. They do well for the small projects.

The entire staff are so outwardly friendly. The wide variety of expertise is the reason people are glad to pay a tiny bit more here. Feels like trips to the hardware store with my grandpa when I was a kid, when a question being answered could easily turn into a great conversation.

Always helpful when I go in. They are a bit more expensive than other home improvement stores, but are in a convenient location. My biggest gripe is that they do not match their online prices. Definitely a great place to go in a pinch.
