Wonderful people and wonderful place. I am so happy I found them. I had reached out to a couple of record repair shops in the Bay Area that said they were not able to service my old record player, and after contacting True Sound I had it repaired within a couple of hours. The best. Highest-grade equipment AND people. Expertise, font of knowledge, but not stuffy. Not just out for the dollar at all costs. Gives advice, perspectives, alternatives, and best choices. My AR (Audio Research) D-51 tube amp was upgraded max there and I got my SP-8 pre-amp, ditto my Riga CD player. True Sound is The place for quality gear, all the way up to extremely high-grade, is superior to all other stores in my experience.

Great people. I called about my amplifier and they were very friendly in helping me diagnose the issue. In addition to suggesting what the issue likely was they were upfront in letting me know that the parts required would be custom from the manufacturer and recommended I contact them directly for the parts and repairs. Excellent advice and I look forward requesting their services should the need arise in the future.

True Sound has been my go-to repair shop for 20 years. It has a national reputation Their technical knowledge of audio equipment is top notch. Service is professionally delivered. Once did a home visit for me without charge to ensure proper set-up. I cannot imagine not having a reliable local shop to take my equipment for servicing.

I am a complete novice to Turntable setup, configuration and tuning. Made some pretty nasty mistakes when setting up my brand new Table. Ran to Nick for help. Initially Nick & Li hesitated a bit as the table was brand new, but Nick found the challenge of setting my table right too tempting to let go back to the dealer to say the least. Took it and within a week turned around a well tuned sweet sounding Table and in the process taught me a thing or two about Table tuning idiosyncrasies. Wow now my system sounds absolutely amazing and my vintage Vinyl collection just came alive in my family room. I am hooked to Vinyl now ! Ofcourse the Streamer DAC is a backup just for the massive collection of Hi-Res audio some of them offer. I digress, if you need advice or help on your HiFi system in Bay Area, CA look no further. Nick @ True Sound is the best in the business bar none !

True sound is exceptional. Nick did outstanding work fine tuning a Sony TC-K555esJ that had been sitting in my house for a long time. Nick unlocked the true potential of this machine and forever defined a passion to sound that I didn't know was possible. I was having problems with my rega apollo r cd player and contacted the manufacturer's distributor in the USA, Sound Organization about having it repaired. I was told to get in touch with the folks at True Sound for help. I am glad I did. My apollo r was having problems reading cds. I sent my cd player for evaluation. Nick Gowan at True Sound helped me during all the process. Nick is such a nice guy and super easy to deal with. You can tell he is passionate about audio, really knows his stuff and loves what he does. I got my cd player back a couple of days ago and it is working flawlessly. I got nothing but praises about True Sound and the service provided by Nick. This is what customer service should be like. Top class!

Nick is a saint. I had won an auction on EBay for a Rega Aria phono preamp. It was sent from the UK and I forgot the circuitry is different in the UK than it is in the USA. The seller would not take the unit back. So I was stuck. I reached out to Rega and they suggested Nick. I sent it to him and he rewired it to meet USA electrical circuitry standards. It sounds amazing. He saved me from a real disaster. He is a saint.
