Tri-River had the double oven we wanted in stock and they booked our install right away. The three installers were uniformed, friendly and clean and they took the old unit away. Big shout out to Stephanie for listening and then matching us up so well with an oven that we're very happy with and a great experience. Service like this is no coincidence and speaks well of ownership/management. Highly recommend!

Needed a new and affordable washer for my mother. Tri-River had the belter deal even compared to Home Depot and other appliance place in Montrose plus the delivery/install/removal fee was more reasonable. Alexus made it super easy and we were done in 5 minutes. Thanks!

We have a home in a remote town, Lake City, which is 2 hours from Montrose given the current road closures. Alexis and her delivery team successfully navigated the delivery of a new fridge and gas range. The fridge, unfortunately, had a bum compressor. So Tri-River delivered a loaner fridge until we could receive a new replacement two weeks later. Tri-River has gone above and beyond our expectations to make sure that everything was done correctly and to our satisfaction. They even kindly sold us the loaner fridge so that we would have an extra one given our remote location in the mountains. Thank you to Tri-River and to Alexis for doing a great job. We will continue to recommend you and use you again for our appliance needs!

Our initial visit in store was disappointing as I felt like they did not listen to what I wanted and did not want. But later, after communicating via email with a recommended employee, I felt like she helped us find exactly what we wanted easily. Scheduling installation is awful because they tell you a day but won’t give you a time until the morning of, no matter if that time is 30 minutes after the call or hours after. Extremely frustrating and makes you plan your whole day around them while they do nothing to work with you. When they installed our fridge they didn’t connect the ice maker telling us our valve was bad when really the fridge just needed a slightly longer hose so we had to pay a plumber to connect it. But the other appliance installs went smoothly. Overall, it depends on the person you work with—some are helpful and respectful, some don’t seem to care. Their communication isn’t great and I have to follow up a lot and the installation scheduling is terrible. But the products are been great thus far and met our desires for reasonable prices. It’s a mixed bag for us.

The people are exceptionally polite and genuinely friendly. The showroom is beautiful and they carry quality appliances. The reason I know about the quality is that I currently have and have had appliances from other companies go bad in short periods of time. All the appliances that I've bought at Tri-River are still working. They cost a little more, but are so worth it! Today I bought two upright freezers from them to replace a chest freezer that died that I bought only 3 years ago. I wish I would have bought the chest from Tri-River, but I didn't.

We bought a Lynx gas grill from Tri-River recently. We ordered it in 2020, and the normal delivery delays meant that it was delivered in about May of 2021.

The installation was choppy, to say the least. My husband watched it from beginning to end. The young men were cheerful and hardworking. However, they had not had the most basic training for installing a $7,000 natural gas grill. The installation instructions did not match the fittings that came with grill, and their coping skills left the flex aluminum gas hose rubbing directly against the stainless steel back of the grill. My husband fabricated a rubber grommet to cushion this hose from the sharp steel after they left.

Most alarming was their method of “testing” the burners’ ignition. They left the lid down on the grill, and fired up each burner in turn, verifying ignition by sound. Even the owner’s manual, let alone common sense, instructs users to never light the grill with the lid closed. When my husband questioned this, they dismissed his concerns. They also made no effort to comply with the installation instructions (addressed to the installers) to verify the proper burning of the burners by examining the flame color.

They used the same technique to verify the proper ignition of the vertical infrared rotisserie burner on the back of the grill, moving quickly and verifying ignition solely by the sound of ignition.

This was not sufficient, in retrospect. My husband attempted to use that burner for the first time this week, for a rotisserie chicken. The rear rotisserie infrared would ignite, but refused to stay lit. Despite many attempts, and following all the advice in the manual for recalcitrant thermocouples, the burner simply would not work.

My husband called Tri-River for help and got a big surprise. TRI-RIVERS SELLS THESE GRILLS, BUT DOESN’T SERVICE THEM!! The employee there was polite, but utterly unhelpful, except to give us a number for Lynx warranty service.

This fact should definitely be disclosed to potential buyers up front. Whoever heard of a retailer selling high-priced consumer goods like this, carrying a warranty, and then just giving the buyer a phone number when a problem (which proper installation would have revealed) arises? We’re steamed.

Beyond disappointed with the customer service from everyone we dealt with at this store. We ordered a microwave the first week in January (maybe even the last week in Dec?), & were told it would be in within 2-3 weeks. We were not notified of any delay in shipping, but when we called after 3 weeks, they said, “It’s not here, but will be in in 2 weeks.” Again, no calls with updates, but we got the same answer when we called in 2 weeks. This went on & on...
We really wanted to support the local guys, but the end result was that these “appliance professionals” lead us on until mid March, @ which point we googled the make & model; the 1st company we contacted had it in stock (for $30 cheaper), gave us free shipping, & we had our microwave in 4 days. Wow, imagine our surprise!
Now, to add insult to injury, Tri River told us our original trim piece wouldn’t work w/ the new model, even though it was the SAME MICROWAVE. So we bought the new trim piece. It didn’t fit the new one, & was plastic, as opposed to the original metal one. Fortunately my husband was wise enough to save the old trim, which fits perfectly… when we called to tell them we had a new microwave in our possession, and would be returning the trim piece that they sold us we were told they usually don’t take them back. Begrudgingly they refunded our $ on the trim, with absolutely no apology for anything.
If I could give anything less than a one star review, I would! I will do anything to support the local economy, but not at the cost of having to deal with companies such as this. They will never get another penny from me, and I will tell everyone I know, and a lot of people that I do not know just how poorly they treated us! Horrible experience!!!! 🙁
