Town Fare Tire in Derby has been fantastic for my family for 12+ years. The sales team at the front desk are both personable and easy to work/schedule with. The service team members in the garage are always hustling to get the job done. I've never had or heard of mistakes or issue. There is live video feed of your service being done in the waiting area. That shows me how confident the management team is in their workforce. I worked in the industry 20 years ago and recognize how well this branch is run. Danny took the time to show me the spectrum of available tires and I am happy with my selection(an old reliable brand I'm familiar with-Cooper)and got the job done on time as stated. This place has Old School Vibes like a mom and pop shop. Excellent.

Hi, Im long time customer of Town Fair Tire, I can't count how many set of tires I've bought from you over the last 30+ years. That said, I want to pay a compliment to Ricardo, at the Derby, CT store. I'm not sure if he's management, but he should be, he definitely seemed one of the most experienced. He treated me very well, gave me what I asked for, at an excellent price, and was very professional. He stuck to everything he said. I'm an experienced, educated customer, I know my stuff, but too often these days companies expect top dollar for the worst products or services, and they're often anything but professional. I wont tolerate that, because I'm a professional, and I have high standards for myself, to best help my patients. Ricardo did great and deserves a raise, or a bonus! Thanks.

Two separate incidents.

1. Brought a wheel/tire off the car to this location since I broke the valve stem off the TPMS a few months ago. Paid them to swap it out, and they said they would clone the old ID onto the new one so my TPMS light wouldn’t go off or just write down the ID so I can do it myself. They didn’t do any of that but told me it was cloned. TPMS light went off, and I had to go to another location to get them to read the ID so I can program it myself.

2. Just this week, I dropped off a wheel where a nail had punctured the tire on a Tuesday morning. It wasn’t ready until Thursday morning, which is fine. Noticed that they ended up taking the tire off to patch, and then it was remounted and balanced, which is also fine. Didn’t realize until I got home that they scratched a few of the spokes rather deeply. The single wheel was $769 from Apex. I should’ve known better than to let Town Fair touch it. I’ve had the wheels for less than 2 months. Lesson learned.

Update: Spoke with Rich Allen, Director of Customer at Town Fair, via phone on September 10th, 2024. He agreed that the damage looks fresh and was likely from mishandling. On the phone, he indicated the Town Fair would purchase a new wheel and swap out the damaged wheel. He also indicated that he would follow up with an email immediately to gather information about the aftermarket wheel. As of today, 9/12, I haven't heard from him. Calls to his office and emails to him at [email protected] has not been answered either. To his credit, he was extremely cordial on the phone, and I hope he has just been busy. Will update if this moves forward.

9/17 update

Still haven’t heard from Rich Allen. I guess the poor service starts at the corporate level. Over promise and under deliver seems to be the motto these days.

Worked with Harrison today getting a new set of tires put on our car. Professional, courteous and got me a great deal on tires. I forgot that I had a listing for the tire elsewhere so I could price match it, and Harrison took care of it after the fact with a smile and with patience, even though he had to jump through some extra hoops because I paid with a check. Absolutely stellar employee. Always a great experience here, and this visit was no exception. Highly recommend.
