A diamond in the rough, TOP FIVE is definitely in my top five for selection, service and definitely cool vibe. Since my visit earlier this year, I've been to several more record shops on trips and this one always comes back to mind.

Labels were clearly marked, I could move easily around the store even with a backpack on, and avoid hitting other customers as we all searched for our own gems.

Unlike other stores where the employee may blast some arbitrary album, the owner seems to even take the time to select music from different genres and play it as a cool backdrop as apart of the shopping experience.

Whenever I return to WPB area this will be a stop on my list.

I just left there a few minutes ago, and it was like entering one of those tiny towns where “youre not from around these parts.” The staff just stared at me and went back to looking at their records. The only time they interacted with me was when they tried to confiscate my water bottle.
They wouldn’t help me. I caught them staring and whispering about me, and they relocated to the furthest side of the store from me. Records are $15, $20, $50. When you buy things, you’re paying for the full experience. Don’t pay to be treated like an inconvenience.

Once upon a time, you could indeed browse more than three people at a time. Record store day was a big thing. Not sure what happened to John or if he was always like this, but being a grump is not cool. Pass on this place and head to Rust and Wax or other places like the South Florida Fair Antique shows… yes I get it, he’s a fan of music and knows his stuff, but I’m sorry, it’s not worth it. Brick and mortar these days is also about the experience. Sad that he got even ruder and grumpier. Lighten up, John, it’s just some wax and paper. 😜

I read the google reviews on Top Five and came to the conclusion that I just had to visit the shop. It's not hard to read between the lines when reading public reviews, you can sense the type of person who goes through life looking to be offended. Walking in the front door brought a smile to my face. Proper vintage vinyl shop by any standard. The owners greeted us warmly and left my wife and me to explore. We found a half dozen hard to find titles in excellent condition to fill some holes in our collection, all at a reasonable price. I love this shop, and the people who run it.

This place does not even deserve the 1 star that Google is making me give. Showed up to check out this store with my husband and my parents who are visiting from out of town. We open the door and are very promptly kicked out of the store as only 3 people are allowed in at a time and there was one other person inside checking out. We wait outside for about 10 minutes and try to enter again and the guy behind the counter holds 3 fingers up and waves them at us and kicks us out again. He says he wants people to feel “comfortable” inside and would not even let our group of 4 browse together. Very rude and unfriendly. I never leave reviews but I’m just so baffled how this man receives any support for his business.
This was our second stop after visiting Rust & Wax which is about 10 minutes up the road. Don’t waste your time here, visit Rust & Wax instead. Much more enjoyable experience.

Barely stepped into the store and was immediately yelled at about the 4 person rule, which is fine but you can barely see through the tinted windows to see how many people are in the store and it could have been said without an attitude. A customer rushed out after to say they were leaving but my partner and I said we'd wait at the coffee store next door. We go back to try and enter 30 minutes later, and the one lady who had been in there prior put up a hand to stop us again so we left. My partner is new to collecting vinyls and was super excited to check this place out, but after this interaction we will be avoiding this store.

I came in with my friend and we were immediately greeted with unfriendliness from the man behind the counter. After a minute or so, he told us to put our purses on the table, which is understandable. However, after we had been looking in the store quietly for about 10 minutes he asked if we were looking for anything in specific. I said we were just browsing and he went “you’ve done your browsing, browsing time is over,” and forced us to leave the store. We were not making any noise or doing anything suspicious the entire time we were there. He was polite to the older man who came in the store while we were there even though he treated us poorly. This was the first time i have ever been yelled at for quietly shopping. My friend was holding onto something she was about to buy but he did not care that she put it down due to him angrily forcing us out. Having read the other reviews for the store it seems that all younger people have had similar unpleasant experiences. DO NOT GIVE THIS MAN YOUR BUSINESS.
