Needco Saves the Day:

We finally decided to remodel our 30-year-old kitchen and began by asking friends, and researching the internet for a qualified local contractor. We met with several and selected the one that we felt most comfortable with. In the following weeks, we created a design, chose the colors, the materials, and the vendors we would use. The day finally came to start the project and the contractor showed up to tear out the old kitchen cabinets and tops. It was then that we knew we had made a terrible mistake. The damage to the kitchen was horrible and all the result of careless workmanship. I placed a call to the GC that evening asking what steps would be taken to repair the damage. She flipped out and sounded quite inebriated. I recommended that we take the night to cool off and talk again in the morning. Ten minutes later she sent a text saying she was walking off the job.

There we were, no kitchen, no contractor, and we would have to start the entire process all over again. I mentioned this to a friend and he said, “Call David Harrison at Needco and forget about it”. So, I did. And I am so glad I did. David met with me and my wife the very next day at our home and got the ball rolling. The following day he invited us to his showroom in Homewood to review his modified design, select a new door style and colors, and to meet his team. Chrissy was awesome. Needco’s design was far superior than our previous one and his team removed all of our concerns. Now that the job is complete, I can tell you that the project happened exactly as he promised, and within the timeframe that he said it would. My wife and I could not be happier, we absolutely love our new Needco kitchen and we cannot say enough about David, Chrissy, Doug, Scott, and the whole behind the scenes team at Needco. My friend was right. “Call David Harrison at Needco and forget about it”. The man took care of everything and everyone. Oh, and did I mention, he did all of this within our modest budget.

Where do I start? What was suppose to be a positive addition to our home ended in a complete nightmare. I would tell anyone "RUN" who is thinking to allow them to do a full kitchen remodel. My wife and I went through the ringer for about five months to have our kitchen completed (still not done but we are not in contact anymore). The contractor (John) was not responsive and completely incapable of scheduling workers to come do their jobs. The Plumber would show up "Oh we can't do our job because the electrician hasn't done xyz" - this scenario back and forth was the story of our lives for 5 months. The quality of work performed was on par with a DIY'er with no knowledge of construction. You would not expect this from a "reputable" company that you are paying a small fortune to for their work. It took pulling teeth and calling the owner (David) to have them come out and fix all the terrible work they did. After multiple attempts of them "fixing" the problems, I hired my own contractors to fix many of their mistakes and sent them the bill in which they refused to pay (after agreeing they would). If I knew I would be the contractor, having to hire and manage quality work, then I would have never used Needco. We spent close to $50,000 on our remodel and at the end, They wanted $4,000 more. After ruining our countertops, They said "lets call it even" and we never spoke again.

Update: Our kitchen sink (which they plumbed) has leaked water on our bottom cabinet and the whole base is waterlogged. Our dishwasher is not mounted and can easily be pull out. There is a LARGE blemish on our new quarts counter tops from their workers trying to fix a massive scratch they caused. We still do not have a door nob on our pantry that they built. Our trash can cabinet does not close all the way. We still have trim gaps, and plasterer mark on our walls. The list goes on.

Needco, stick with cabinets. You guys are way too incompetent to do full remodels and it is shameful you call yourself a quality business.
