Let the truth be known that Sutherlands sells cheap wood fencing. I noticed the difference right away and thought I would try it anyway. Big Mistake… I just installed this fencing back in April 2024 , It's now August 2024 and as you can see – it washes out , fades fast , bends , warps , and is falling apart in some areas. I bought Most of my wood fencing from Lowes ( the good fencing that still has darkened brown wood color ) although I spent a few hundred bucks on worthless fencing at Sutherlands and I already need to replace much of it as you can see in the pictures.

Great prices and it's very easy to find everything. I found out from a cashier that the company stalks the online prices and they aggressively price their products to beat them! I have yet to find anything online that was cheaper than Sutherlands!! It's true that they're thinly staffed but do you really need a babysitter when you shop? I'm an adult, I can find what I need. If I can't, I'm also an adult who can go find somebody to help me and wait for them to have time to help me. Whatever they're doing, it's working because prices can't be beat. Today, I bought a space heater for $40- it was $59-70 on Amazon. Oh, and this is the view I saw walking out the store. Beautiful. UPDATE: I still shop here after a couple of years and folks are very nice. They're very helpful when I ask for help. One of the biggest and best times here is when they bring in the plants. Great sales and a large variety of unique plants. I now have an olive tree and it's still doing well! My Camellias are also doing very well and I got a great price. I bought a drill here for less than online prices and it's been working great.

Never again! I bought a $15 dollar light buld that didnt work. I returned it the next day with the receipt and was told I need to provide a driver's license and phone number. I told the cashier that is ridiculous. I complied but let her know I won't be back. Through the conversation she got nasty and said the return policy is on the wall and said
I can talk to a manager. I'll never shop there again. Imagine having to give a driver's license and phone number to return a light bulb. She entered my driver's license info into her computer and who knows what there doing with my phone number. RIDICULOUS!

Sutherlands is my go-to to buy spring flowers and plants! Great customer service always and a great deal on the plants they sell. I believe it was Leslie that helped me this morning in the garden area outside, she knew all the answers and was very helpful. Excellent customer service!

Came here to find two items I needed . I walked around the store which was not busy . I was there for over an hour searching for the items I needed and no one stop to ask if I needed any help despite several employees AND the manager walking by me as if I’m a ghost . I was clearly looking for a product but they didn’t have the common curtesy to stop and be of assistance. This is why Amazon is making money hand over fist . I try to support my locals stores however when you can’t find help and you are totally ignored it’s not worth the drive into the store . The manager seemed more concerned about moving displays than helping customers in the store . Also , the aisles had several boxes and miscellaneous equipment scattered on the floor which I tripped over . Big hazards in the aisles. This is a lawsuit waiting to happen . Bottom line, this location has horrible customer service. I will take my money to Amazon and just wait a couple days for the items I need . Much less stress and hassle. This manager needs a refresher course on customer service. Hopefully he will get additional training on how to treat and approach customers.

You get service here, not what you get at big box stores. You get to know the staff, and they'll move heaven and earth to help you. They keep their employees, which tells me they're a good company and I've enjoyed getting to know them. I would buy stock in Sutherlands, but they are privately owned. I'm glad they're here and glad to have them as a local company.
