I ordered an erhu from the Sound of Asia website and my experience was awesome from the start! I had emailed to ask questions as this is my first erhu and I wanted to make sure I got the right instrument. Carol replied to me very quickly and was extremely helpful. I live in Oregon and the erhu arrived within a few days. The accessories are all great and it was easy to set up and start playing. The instrument itself is even more beautiful in person than online. Overall I'm super happy and would highly recommend buying a Chinese instrument from here, especially if you live in the US and don't want to spend a fortune on shipping.

Amazing store! I want to give 6 stars. I just bought a Scarlet Bird Guzheng here today. I messaged the owner and she set up and tuned the 3 instruments I am interested in trying even before I arrived. The staff are all knowledgeable and friendly. They let me tried the instruments as much as I wish without pressuring on selecting more expensive piece. The whole process was calm and enjoyable.

The price is fair and a lot lower than the Scarlet bird manufacturers official website price. I checked the Scarlet bird manufacturer’s official website and confirmed this store is the only recognized distributor on west coast. I am not sure why other reviews complained about price but the prices I quoted in the store all matched its online website. Not every brand’s price is lower than manufacturers’s official website price after international shipping gets added. The owner told me it is because different brands give different discount to distributors. Highly recommend buying Guzheng here!

Authentic Gǔzhēng made in China. Friendly staff with great knowledge of music. Fast service. Instruments include case, finger picks, strings, tuner, instruction manual, and legs. Prices are good.

This shop is quite a fraud, please be careful. I have been to lots of instruments store, I highly don’t recommend this place, avoid this place if you don’t want to be cheated by them. i bought one Guzheng in shop with price of $1500. However, i later notice that they sell exactly the same guzheng online with much cheaper price. They don’t have price labels for the instruments in shop, which give them the opportunity to cheat on you. once they notice you are in favor of one instrument, they tend to increase the price to get you to pay more. When i was in store, i happen to meet other guys seems have trouble with their purchases as well.

Great store that sells Asian wooden string playing instrument and has lessons to take. This instrument is the first piano before real ivory pianos were born.

I love this place. This is a wonderful place, very responsible. If you are outside CA and looking for a good music instrument, here is a right place you can pick. I bought Guqin over there. I am not able to flight over there and pickup by myself. Carol got my requirement of the sound, she helped me to pick a wonderful guqin. I love it so much, like my new friend, when I am receiving it. So, I really strongly recommend you to consider this place as your first choice if you are looking for a good and responsible store.

This is a fraud place, please be careful, they increase the price and play trick with you. I have a purchase with them and got cheated. Don't buy instrument with them if you don't want to have extra trouble with them.
