We had major issues with our Maytag washer (check out consumer reports on them. One star for them) and had about 10 huge boxes of replacement parts that Maytag would not remove. SK Lavery stepped up and took care of that for us. Above and beyond! Thank you!

S K Lavery is, without a doubt, one of the worst companies I have ever had the misfortune to encounter.

About four years ago, we bought a washing machine from S.K. Lavery Appliance Company . Each year the latch would break and each year it would take them a month to actually repair it, but we were under warranty with them, so that's what we were stuck with. They wouldn't replace the machine; they wouldn't have a third party come out to do the repair in a timely way; they wouldn't even reimburse us for having to use laundromats for a month; they wouldn't extend the warranty so that we could get the full term of use and much of the time, they wouldn't even return calls. What is more, their lone serviceman was rude and unprofessional.

They displayed the worst customer service I've ever seen. Do not buy products from them EVER if service matters to you.

After years of dealing with this garbage, I finally found one of the best companies ever.

Gene's TV and Appliance Repair in Middletown took my call, answered my questions, scheduled me for speedy service at a fair price and then Gene asked me, "Hey are you mechanically handy?" I replied that I have experience with woodworking, metalworking and electronics but not much knowledge of appliance repair. Gene then asked if I had a socket set and he guided me through the repair himself *for free*!!! The washer was working within 15 minutes.

If you are in the Middletown, CT area, HIRE THIS MAN. I wish that I had known about him earlier. This business is a state treasure! It was such a wonderful change of pace from Lavery.

We are so happy with the service from SK Lavery! We went in looking for an exhaust hood vent for our newly renovated kitchen. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable to work with. They made the process easy and effortless. I highly recommend using them over the big box stores.

We had never shopped at SK Lavery Appliance Company before and WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN! We went to the store because other stores did not have the dishwasher in the store so we could actually get a good look at the appliance. Once we got the dishwasher, it was not installed for 3 weeks since our kitchen was having a countertop and tile backsplash installed. The dishwasher was installed by a licensed plumber however it made an intermittent loud noise and when we called the manufacturere we were told we had to have it repaired. A washer pump motor was ordered and installed but that motor also made a loud noise. During that time we called SK Lavery numerous times from day one of the installation requesting a new replacement dishwasher since it had just been installed. The salesperson was friendly when we bought the item but once we had a problem the store did not want to hear from us or work with us. We had many conversations
with the on going problems with absolutely no satisisfaction. The sales manager did not want to help us. Finally I called Whirlpool myself explaining our problem and they instantly made arrangements for a new dishwasher to be delivered. It took just 1 week for the new
dishwasher to arrive and get installed....and it is working without a problem. Sk Lavery could have and should have helped us out instead of not doing anything. This store does not even deserve 1 star. I WOULD STRONGLY RECCOMEND NOT TO SHOP AT THIS STORE.

We purchased a Kitchenaid refrigerator on 11/1/22 with a 5 yr warranty. We've had nothing but problems with the fridge, and it's not even 1 yr old. We've had the tech come out for 4 separate issues: 1st was fan replacement, 2nd was the freezer door, 3rd was door gaskets, 4th was condensation buildup. The 1st time we stopped in to SK Lavery to complain, & all they said was to call the warranty department. We are totally displeased with this fridge & all the issues we are having with a new refrigerator. Just the inconvenience of having to keep calling & setting/waiting for tech appointments is a pia! We will . pursuing a new replacement refrigerator. We started by contacting the Better Business Bureau. Next will be another stop at SK Lavery...again!

An overall excellent experience!!
My mom's stackable washer /dryer stopped working... she's 93, still independent, but doesn't drive! So my husband and I went to find a replacement. Stopped at a local 'general retail' store and soon realized they were not really focused in on what we needed; the woman who helped us was friendly, but not particularly knowledgeable about their products. We knew this store could not provide the type of personalized service we wanted for my mom.
Long story short, we next went to S K Lavery in Newington. Exceptional service!! Jeremy helped us; he quickly narrowed down the choices we had given the size / type restrictions. We completed the purchase, and he scheduled delivery... He was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. He made good use of our time which is appreciated.
Delivery went off without a hitch!! Even though the delivery guys encountered an issue with the install and had to call the landlord which took some time for him to arrive. They were patient, professional and my mom was very pleased with them! They took the old unit away, installed the new one and we could not be happier with the overall fantastic service we received from SK Lavery and their staff. Special thanks to Jeremy!! We will always recommend you whenever we have a chance to do that!!
