The money goes to a great cause and that is worth shopping here! They also have discount days, and it's fun to find the deals. That being said, the organization is lacking, the clothes and items are often unclean, and the staff is friendly but distracted. The few negatives should not dissuade you from popping in and checking it out!

My favorite thrift store to hit when I'm visiting my mom in Dowling Park, 4-5 times a year. In addition to being well organized and clean (and having public restrooms for shoppers), they keep the prices low (as a thrift store should!). That means they move things out quickly and make room for more, so there's always lots of "new old stuff" to find. They also have amazing bargains with clearly posted rotating daily sales and a points program to save even more. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and they keep the place clean and orderly. We're heading there today!

I have gone in this places for years trying to really give them a chance. The employees and volunteers are very nice. However, this place leaves a lot to be desired. A lot of the items they are trying to sell would be better off at a dump site. They really need to go through this place and clean it. Then they need to look at what they are selling. I was told once before that some volunteers had suggested a massive cleaning and were turned down. Musty smelling clothes, clothes with stains, rips and holes in them, shoes that look like they never got wiped down, filthy toys & stuffed animals, dirty & dusty plates & kitchen items, chipped and broken glass items. The place looks dirty, smells dirty and is dirty. I have allergies to dust and mold. I have left there because I started to have an asthma attack. I wholly support what they are trying to do and the employees and volunteers are wonderful. It is just embarrassing to go in there and see it looking & smelling the way it does. I have been to other Florida Sheriff Thriftstores, this one is the worst one I have been too. I wish they would listen to some of those volunteers and clean that place up. Then organize it. None of clothing is any real order. You would have to go through it all. Books are just placed anywhere not by any particular subject. I am giving it 3 stars not a 1 star because those that do work there are trying. I just wish I could go in there and not have an asthma attack.
