I just received my 2 favorite in the whole world ever wines, and they just happen to be from SJV. Madeleine Angevine and Siegerrebe are my Christmas prezzie to me! I have ordered and shipped these 2 many times and the Winery is always prompt, the shipment well-packed, and the wine....Sublime. Why drink ordinary when you can experience greatness?

Beautiful setting. Room for large groups or parties.
Always end up buying more wine then I need…says no one ever!!
Great variety of wines.
Covered area for shade, nice grassy area.
Easy to get to from Friday or Roche.
Small gift shop inside.

We were here for the first time this year. We liked that wine very much, specially rose one. Nice quiet environment around. We will definitely come again.

Wine was mediocre at best and service was disrespectful. I'm sad to say we still stuck around and paid for so-so wine after being treated so poorly. From the start we weren't acknowledged when we entered the tasting room, even though there was only one other couple ahead of us at the counter. Apparently two couples waiting for service is more than the "sommelier" at this vineyard can handle. Upon seeing the flights the couple ahead of us ordered I remarked to my fiance that I 'd like to order the same, which is when the server finally acknowledged us stating "I'm all tapped out". What does that even mean? While we're still waiting for service another couple enters and stands at the end of the counter. Guess who the server helps first? Yes, instead of helping the next in line he literally skips us as he walks past our position at the counter to help the third couple first. At this point I wish we had just left because clearly we weren't welcome, which is baffling! San Juan is a tourist economy, so you'd think that the employees and owners of this establishment would recognize their reliance on visitors and treat people offering them business with gratitude or at least decency. If you look at other reviews our experience is not an exception, so if you don't want to chance an unpleasant experience DON'T GO HERE! We were refused to be served what we actually wanted and told he could only sell us glasses of wine or a bottle because he was "all tapped out" and couldn't sell us flights unless we waited 20 minutes for a new server to arrive. Even though he sold flights to the two other couples he helped before us. While another patron walked up to the counter telling him to "stand your ground Joe" as she watched us being refused service. So sad to say I wasted time at this hostile place.

Great place, great wine, and wonderful people. Nothing beats enjoying good wine on a sunny patio in the San Juans!

Update 7/2/22, we came back and the wine is even better! Really enjoyed the Madeleine Angevine on a warm summer day. Beautiful setting and wonderful people.

Really excited that this place was as good as it is. Went in with lower expectations as it’s a hard climate to grow grapes. They grow all the white varietals on the island and bring in the red from their parent wineries in Walla Walla. ALL of their wines were great, we were impressed. Our background is in wine and we come from Napa so it’s just a testimony that good wine can come from anywhere when it’s done right. Thanks for a great tasting, we’ll be back with more people.
