Don’t go here. While he did just an ok job, he complained about it the entire time and kept trying to charge more. He wanted to charge $150 for fixing a drawer that wasn’t really broken. He also did not know basic refinishing stuff, like whether the finish was original or not (I know it wasn’t but he insisted it was then got angry that it wasn’t original cause he said it meant more work.) Also changed up the terms of the deal, after he had my furniture and wanted cash instead of a check. He would not release my furniture until I gave him cash, although I had paid the deposit w a check and he accepted that. His charges were crazy high for what he did. He was not a nice person at all, and his work quality was not supported by the amount he charged (1400 for two dressers). If he truly has 50 years of experience, it does not show. EDITED to add! He had the nerve to call me the next day to say he was shorted by $100. This, AFTER he insisted on cash, although that wasn’t the agreement, and AFTER he grabbed the money out of my hands at least twice and AFTER he counted it multiple times. He counted it right before we left. He was satisfied w the amounts and wouldn’t let me recount. Now I’m supposed to believe that he didn’t drop a hundred dollar bill somewhere or just forget the amount he had. Yikes. Don’t go here.
