This place is disgusting and the owner is dishonest. I had visitors come into town recently but I have roommates and don’t have room for guests. I thought my guests were staying at Blue Mountain Inn and Suites but there was a miscommunication and they reserved a room at this trash heap. I had no idea this place was a motel. It smells like cigarettes and mold in the rooms. My mom and her friend stayed there one night. The next day when they showered, once the towels were wet, they were stained brown/black, the tub/drain was clogged and dirty, the carpet had not been vacuumed, there was left over candy in the freezer, the door frame was ripped off and torn apart and cigarette butts we’re everywhere outside. The owner claims my mother planted these things in the room and messed up the room. I have photos proving other wise and photos proving the room was cleaned when they left to move to the Blue Mountain Inn. The owner is a liar and immediately threw her employees under the bus when we walked through the room with her. She claimed we “laughed” while we trashed the room? We spoke to her with kindness because we were appalled and embarrassed for the state of the property itself. Again, I have pictures proving the room was clean when we left. We went through AirBNB to resolve the refund issues like good businesses do for their customers. The reservation was made through AirBNB so she turned to them for help. It’s called customer service. My mom is a good person and does not deserve to be treated the way this person treated her. I’ve asked about this place to people that live here in Rangely and the response is pretty unanimously poor and laughable. You should be ashamed of yourself for the AirBNB review you gave my mom, Kevin Bonnie. You clearly have no idea what your reputation actually is in this town.

I stayed for 6 weeks for work and the rooms are very clean, quite and comfortable The Keurig
coffee maker is a perfect touch. The owners are very pleasant and there hospitality makes you feel at home and they go out of there way to make your stay as comfortable as possible and the second fridge was a plus for me. So if your passing through or in Rangley Colorado for work this is the place to stay.

Make sure you have their cancellation policy in writing before you reserve a room. I booked a room on Feb 6, 2024 and they took the full amount from my Visa. My understanding at the time from Bonnie was that I could cancel anytime as long as it was within three days of the reservation. I was given nothing in writing just the receipt. My reservation was for June 11 and 12 for two nights. I was charged $198. When Ride the Rockies was cancelled, the reason we were staying there, I called to cancel. I made my first call on May 1 and finally after many attempts to get a confirmation of the cancellation and reimbursement for the stay, on May 26 I got ahold of someone who said they would look after it right away. When I looked at the visa account from which I had paid for the room they had reimbursed only half $99. I called again on May 27 and the girl told me their policy was that I had to cancel within 3 days of booking to get my money back. I find this deceitful and unnecessary, and even though I’m sure the owners are nice people and it would have been nice to stay there, I find myself wondering what kind of hospitality they really display. I will pursue this further. At this point it is not even about the money, it’s the principle. I went back and checked all my communications with them and have not found anything with this “policy”. I advise anyone booking with them to request their cancellation policy in writing so there are no surprises.

We spent one night at the Outside Inn after having stretched our visit to Dinosaur National Monument by a day. We were greeted by three very friendly faces (the owners - Kevin and Bonnie, it seems - and a young woman who works at the motel) who got us checked into our room and quickly got us the quarters we needed to do laundry. We had a very comfortable night’s stay. The room was clean. The bed was comfy and the shower was extra invigorating and strong! Our only complaints are that the air conditioning unit is loud and the curtains don’t block the morning sunlight. We even took the liberty of locking ourselves out of our room, and Kevin came right over to let us in. 😉 Rangely is a tiny western Colorado town that I don’t expect I will visit again, but if you find yourself needing a room in the vicinity, do stay at the Outside Inn. It’s not fancy, but in my mind, a clean room, a comfortable bed, and friendly folks are what’s needed when you’re on a long road trip. Everyone we encountered while in town was super friendly and nice. Our room had a Keurig machine and real bath towels, the super thick ones, not typical thin hotel towels!

My room was decent. Blankets and sheets were super comfy. Kurig was a nice touch. My only qualm was the bath tub. It was a non working jetted tub and some debris from the filters were in the bath water. I would recommend showering instead of taking a bath. I would definitely stay here again when I visit.

Very reasonable rates and the room was very clean. My wife and I hit a deer on our motorcycle. After my wife being released from the hospital with a broken ankle, we stayed here while waiting for our ride home to Washington state. Manager was so sweet and went absolutely above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of. This establishment is truly an asset to the community.

We stayed at the Budget Host Inn and found it very accommodating and clean. The room was big and very comfortable. They have the best water pressure and hottest water ever!! It was very quiet and within walking distance of everything we wanted to do. Budget Host also offers free wifi that worked very well. The staff was very friendly and answered any questions we had regarding Rangely. I would definitely stay there again if I ever went though that part of Colorado.
