I want to personally thank the Orange County Fire Department and EMS for their fast response and active assistance to me at the Waldorf Astoria on the Disney properties on the afternoon of December 14, 2024, poolside. I was playing poolside with my 4 year old grandson when I became dizzy and light headed. My daughter was speaking at a conference inside the hotel. Before I began to lose consciousness briefly I was able to text my daughter that I needed help at the pool. She called 911 and Orange County Fire Station arrived to attend to me. I can’t thank the members of the department enough! I will make a donation but there is no amount that will be enough to show my appreciation. You all are heroes!

Absolute scammers, I told the guys in the ambulance that I would rather take a uber to the VA instead of the ambulance because i know they charge a lot of money. He said "I cant let you do that due to your condition." Did not mention at all that there was a waiver I could sign refusing the ambulance ride, I found this out after the fact. He then told me all I have to do is inform the VA that they drove me and that they would pay for it. Well the VA is refusing to pay for it and now im stuck with a $1200 bill for a 20 min drive. Completely unacceptable, really doesnt feel good knowing that they lied to me.

Second time encounter with them and each time they we rude and acted like we didn’t exist.. we were trying to give one of the six of them the lady glasses and not one of them would even acknowledge us.. the lady was stable.. I have been in medical field up north for the last 20 years and I would never be so disrespectful. Wish we had a choice on who to call in case of emergency..

Unbeknownst to us our toddler locked the car doors when we were getting the car loaded and then I loaded him in last closed the door amd only then realised we were locked out
Fortunately the car was running with a/c on or we would have had to break a window. Orange County Fire Rescue came to our aid right away (faster than USAA roadside!) They popped the door quick as a wink! Thanks for being our Hero today!! The toddler had fallen asleep 5 minutes after being locked in and slept through the whole ordeal, he had no idea the drama he missed!

I was taken to the hospital and they charging almost 700 dollars for a less than a 2 miles drive. It’s absurd that to use an ambulance had to be so outrageous for the public
