Have taken several deers to be processed with them. The meat has been great. The sausage is very good. Pricing is very good and the place is closest around in my area. The staff are excellent to work with and actually talk with you and not rush you out. Thank you John.

I am a small farmer here in north central Florida. Livestock are an investment and income for me. I have the expense to buy the animal, raise the animal on hay through at least 1 winter, the cost of minerals and paying the butcher his fees just so I can make just as much money as those on welfare. Getting my animals processed right is everything to me. My regular butcher was all booked up and I thought John could help me in a bind. Boy was I wrong. Instead, John stole from me. I'm sure that he will respond to this low star review to spin a narrative that saves his image and maybe even quote a bible verse excusing his behavior like the others before me, but just know that this man has had no problem stealing from a small American farmer and causing great financial hardship. I pray that God will repay him for what he has done to me in ruining my hard work and 18 month investment and that those who read this review will be forewarned. God bless.

Don't waste your money! Not skilled in butchery trade. Did NOT receive flank steak or skirt steak even though specified on cut sheet. Ordered a Beef Tenderloin, but he cut it into Filet Mignon steaks and then put all 6 of them into a single package. Took 3 head of cattle to Midway, and ALL ground beef came back with bone pieces in it, which makes me question his cleanliness practices and work ethic. My husband reached out to John twice to address the issue of bone chips in our grind but NEVER heard back. Not only did John NOT respond to my husband's inquiries, no attempt was made to rectify the failure. Butchery 101 - separate the meat OFF the bone. You will regret spending your money to have Midway process your animal because they are CARELESS and UNSKILLED.

YET AGAIN! More bone chips found in another pack of ground beef cooked for breakfast today. My husband and I keep asking ourselves, "how does this happen?" Ground beef sold at Publix does NOT have bone chips! A deboning knife is just that, used to cut the meat AWAY from the bone. Bones do NOT go into the grinder. PERIOD. Do NOT waste your money at this butcher!!

Took one of our hogs to them. I had named this hog and raised it for 9 months, so it was difficult to do but he was so nice and understanding and didn't laugh at me lol. Did a great job, all cut and packed exactly as we asked. Very quick to call us with hanging weight etc.
Will definitely use again and I recommend him to anyone looking for a professional processor.

We have taken 5 kunekune pigs here for processing on different occasions over the last couple months. Not only is everyone extremely friendly and professional, but we have been very happy with the products we received back. The Italian sausage is amazing and our smoked hams & bacon have been delicious. John has been very responsive to scheduling drop-off and pickups. He is also very quick to message me hanging weights. We will continue to use and refer Midway Meat Processing.

Bought our very first cow, and we are very pleased how Midway Meat Processing handled the process of butchering, and packaging the meat. Our freezer is full with the most delicious tasting beef.

The one star represents my interaction for processing 2 deer this fall;
1. In my 50+ years of hunting both in and out of the US, this is the first time I was ever required to leave a $50 deposit per deer. The response I got was rather strange; "some people don't pick up their meat." Hmmm sounds like they would get free produce to consume!
2. When the meat was ready for pick up I was sent a text message with the cost. Since I had already paid a $100 deposit I replied; "John, minus the $50 × 2 deposits?" The response was; "yes." However when I picked up the meat the person, not John, said that the amount owed did not include the deposit!!
3. When I picked up the processed meat it included tubed Italian flavored sausage. It looked reddish, but assumed it was the flavoring. When we started to prepared the sausage for eating, to our surprise it was filled with blood, and had no flavor at all. It was inedible!! I called and complained but it seemed to resonate on dead ears. We now have 18 packages of useless meat in our freezer.
For the remainder of deer that I bagged this season my $ went to another processor,
