I have never been so disappointed in Menards staff and managers out of Branson MO. We went to Menards to purchase product for another shop building since the first shop building we built went so smoothly and the service was excellent. We ordered our wood, trusses, and metal through Menards only to find out that the trusses would not be delivered for another 20 plus days which would not work for us so we had to go through another manufacturer. After everything was paid for and we started the building process we found out that Menards gave us grade 2 lumber instead of the grade 1 lumber we paid for. Also, we made several phone calls and tried to stay in constant communication with Menards since they made zero attempts to call us for the delivery of our metal which ended up showing up at 7pm at night and they damaged a few pieces trying to remove it off the truck in the dark. We had our framers at our property working who stayed late but they could only stay so late and we ended up having to drive 2 hours to meet the truck with the metal since again zero communication from Menards. We then get a call a few days later that a guy was at our property to deliver trusses which we had cancelled since they could not come in when we needed them too. Again, another miscommunication with Menards but here is the big kicker. Menards not only needed to return our money for the trusses but also for delivery fee and the wrong lumber package. Now keep in mind they would only give us our money back in 2000.00 dollar increments per day, which caused us several trips to Menards even though our check was cleared the very next day. We had several conversations with the Manager at Menards over all of these issues only for him to say oh sorry and basically he didn't care. If I could give this a zero I would and I don't wish this experience on anyone. We as the consumer should not have to do all the footwork (making multiple phone calls since no one was communicating with us on deliveries, multiple trips to get our money back, lack of customer service and empathy of Menards own mistakes). Menards please educate your managers because you lost a lot of money and business on this sale and we won't be back. Also, Menards Corporate office why is it that I have to go online and print a complaint form and mail it to you. Why do you not have a call center that handles these types of issues or someone we can speak to?

Daniel and Melissa in kitchens and closets helped us numerous times to make our master closet from a bedroom a dream come true. They both executed ideas and input and made this 10x11 once bedroom now a walk in master bedroom closet. I highly recommend working with either one of them. They are both excellent to work with. We added more drawers and covered doors also.

David and Chase in cabinets go the extra mile to help customers and you always get the most bang for your buck at Menards... 2020-2022 i worked as an installer and their teams really cares about family, vets, and everyone who walk through their doors

Nicholas Sinclair was so helpful. Others in the store would not walk over to help us, even with no line at customer service. He went above and beyond and checked other areas for us; others just pointed.

Tim Aydt in painting also went amazingly above and beyond. Actually got on on his knees to break our sample in half so we could properly get the correct color sample. It was spot on...the best color match we've had there.

Jeremiah came up to us and helped us find the exact size screws we needed.

Menards has some great employees over there. We will be sharing our reports with others! Thank you!!!

Do not buy custom windows here! 3/6 fell apart before we could even get them tacked up. Then they charge a 25% restocking fee for broken product that they can't restock. Returns are not only costly, but are a giant hassle for building materials. I can't speak for anything else as this is the first and last time they will rob over $700 for broken junk from us.

I had a horrible Menards experience yesterday I need to share. Went to the back desk of the building materials dept and was giving the guy (didn't get his name. Older guy, short spiked graying hair—it was around noon) tried to tell him what I needed—-and Management, it was several hundred $$$ of stuff!!! He had a terrible attitude from the git-go and told me several times “we will HELP you but we don't pull the stuff for you”. Now folks, I’m a little old lady not able to manhandle a huge barn door, 140’ of trim or large panels of wall covering. I said “you mean you wont take this around back and load it on my trailer” He told me (again) “we will HELP you, but this is a pull it yourself store”. Now, I have given Menards LOTS of business. It makes me sad. I know this was just one rotten apple, but this was a bad BAD one. Overall giving a “3”, as everyone else has been great.
