Wonderful gas station with fantastic fruit. While it is definitely meant to be a tourist trap with somewhat "click-bait" billboards, it was worth stopping by. The inside has a huge variety of nick-nacks and souvenirs, with some of the more interesting things bring dried baby alligator heads and preserved dead baby sharks. I personally got some orange flower honey. The staff were nice and informative, and the live baby alligators were cool.

We purchased a bag of tangerines, and they were oh so sweet and juicy. The skin doesn't always look the best, but the fruit in the inside is amazing, significantly better than anything we can get in Northern Minnesota.

We also purchased a bag of naval oranges and of course they were the best we've ever had.

Kayla and Josey are super awesome and very down to earth. They were very helpful in assisting me with my family’s needs while touring the store. 😇
The alligator tank had the 3 cutest little alligators.😍 I wish I could have taken one home.

Although the billboard sign says 13 foot alligator, it is stuffed where as I would rather it be alive. It doesn’t appear to be thirteen feet but about seven in person. So, if you are looking for the alligator, it is propped up on a shelf. -1⭐️
They had shelves full cute little nicknacks all over.
Love it!!

I am only giving this place 2 stars due to the gift shop... other than that its gross🤮!! Both female and male restrooms🚽🧻 were dirty, 💩smelt, no soap 🧼& very unsanitary. There were 3 employees standing around doing nothing at all at the register and very unfriendly. The sign on the building says "Florida Welcome center " which it's NOT. This place would be a sad representation of Florida. They had the smallest/saddest drink and snack selection I have ever seen at any gas station and very over💸💰 priced. They have 3 little🐊 alligators in a tank (which seems so cruel) and the 13 ft gator is stuffed and in no way is it 13ft. Do yourself a favor and stop at a different gas station all together.

Excellent little gift shop. Standard trinkets but also unique ones. Gator heads different sizes, mugs, keychains, coconut banks, etc. Worth the stop to look. Also fresh citrus fruit.

(Disclaimer: I went to a gas station adjacent to a McDonald's and was treated with the up most respect from a white cashier. Just to be clear I know not all white people, and non-black people are racists.) However, I went to this Marathon station in High Springs. As I get out of my car, I see an employee selling oranges to a lady. I go in, there's a white family ahead of me in line. I wait patiently because I know it's a virtue. As soon as I got in line, I felt a wierd vibe from the white employee tending to customers, a vibe that effectively articulated I wasn't supposed to be there and that my money isn't good enough. After she helps the white family, she just leaves and pretends to go do some work in the back. She basically said through her bigoted and poor customer service, let the black employee deal with the black customer. She never acknowledged me as a customer. Worst off, another came and had to wait until the other employee selling oranges came back in. Shortly after, the black employee came in after selling the oranges and helped me. Any business with bigoted employees and managers with racist and bigoted ideologies, don't deserve your business and money as a consumer, i.e. Starbucks. As soon as non white consumers get that, businesses will change because their bottom line is in jeopardy. After all, this black customer who was disrespected by this gas station employee, is the same customer who pays her bills, her home, her car, etc. Don't go to this station, it's a waste of hard earned money, energy and subsequently time.

These people are crooks. We pulled in at 7:45 to get gas. As soon as we put our credit card in the pump, the cashier turned off all the lights, locked the doors and turned the pumps off. We got 11 cents of gas, but were still charged. I called to see what time they closed and was told 8 p.m. Nothing like getting ready to leave early. I asked why she didn't tell us. She LIED LIED LIED. She should lose her job.

They get one star only because zero isn't an option.
