Al made a coffee table for us about 1yr ago and I would recommend Leaf Woodworking to anyone. We like to support local craftsmen and met Al at a artisan market, saw some of his work and were impressed with the design and quality. A few months later, we inquired about a coffee table he had showed us. He was incredibly helpful and easy to work with through the whole process: communication was prompt and he was always sharing ideas, suggestions, and progress updates/photos from the planning stage all the way to when the piece was finished (which was also quick we thought). He was totally open to our ideas but also had great suggestions that we're glad we listened to (regarding dimensions and wood types)! He was even gracious enough to invite me into his shop to see other projects and talk about care of the table when I came by to pick it up and is a genuinely nice human being. His table turned out better than we could have hoped and we get compliments on it every time someone is over at our house. It has withstood dogs and toddlers jumping and spilling on it without a single scratch and Al was helpful with suggestions on how to sand/resurface anything damage that might happen in the future. Finally, we were happily surprised by his price. I'm always willing to pay a bit of a premium for a local, handmade product but what he charged for his work was equal to or lower than what we would have paid for a table from a store. Thanks again and we're considering another larger piece in the future!

I 110% recommend Leaf Woodworking. We will definitely be working with Albert again when we need a new piece of furniture! We had been looking for a coffee table for literally 5 years and could not find one we liked. We saw Albert's booth at a Boulder art fair and it was exactly what we wanted for a price that rivaled lower quality and less aesthetic tables at most stores. We emailed him and commissioned one of his Newton Coffee tables in Walnut. He emailed back shortly after and less than a week later he was dropping off this beautiful, exactly what we wanted, coffee table. We have a small space and he was able to customize the size and wood type to fit perfectly into our home!

I had the fortunate opportunity to work with Al to design a couple of nightstands for our bedroom. He was very willing to meet with me and discuss various options to accommodate my budget without sacrificing the sleek, high quality, modern look I was going for. I was very pleased with the timeline given to complete the project and Al kept me posted the entire time. I was so excited to see the finished product! As expected, Al’s work is high quality and I love how the nightstands turned out. Beautifully hand crafted by a stand up guy. A much better experience than buying at big box store! And you can’t beat the quality and craftsmanship.

Al does absolutely beautiful work!!! He made two benches for our front and back entryways, a stunning coat rack, and created awesome floating shelves for our study. Al is creative, easy to work with, kind, great sense of humor and loves his work! My husband and I had difficulty visualizing what we wanted; Al was very helpful with showing us designs and brainstorming with us! He is a gem....We whole heartedly recommend Al and Leaf Woodworking, He’s a true artist and is very reasonably priced. We cannot express enough appreciation for him. Thanks so so much Al. Al created beautiful custom bed frame and matching end tables. He was very thoughtful and gave us a lot of considerations and suggestions that helped us create the perfect bedroom set. His attention to detail and craftsmanship is evident in his work. We are looking for excuses to work with Al again! Definitely consider Leaf Woodworking for any woodworking services!

Albert has a great eye for design - I described a custom desk I wanted, and he sent me very professional drawings showing lots of interesting details and variations to consider, and showing proportions and lines much more artistic than I would have come up with! After a few responsive back and forths, we had a plan, and he produced a beautifully crafted and finished piece at a very fair price.

Al creates beautiful, high quality furniture with a modern design aesthetic. He is a pleasure to work with as well. He made us a coffee table and a bed. Both are exceptionally beautiful and high quality. He worked with us throughout the design process using photos we provided for inspiration.
