As a business owner myself, I live by providing excellent customer service and the service that I received from Lakeport Bait & Tackle, was not only rude and disrespectful, but not customer service friendly by any means. The office hours listed for the business stated it closed at 6. I got there at 5:30 and was met with the rude owner telling me that he was closing because he hasn’t had a customer in 3 hours and how he’s been there all day running his AC. First, you should not be complaining to your customers about your business problems, secondly, we are paying customers, and thirdly there was no reason for this ill mannered behavior. In short, the owner told us to hurry up and get what we needed, at that point I said no thank you and I will take my business else where. I understand that people have bad days but as grown adults, we should not be taking our problems out on the next person, especially if they are helping pay your bills. I decided to go to Clearlake Outdoors where I was met with a happy and excited owner/employee who was more than happy to help me.

Met Robbie at his shop at 6am on a Sat. He is there every day around 5 and is a great guy. He has a great selection and is growing it. Fair prices for the quality of tackle he stocks. I don’t usually do reviews and am generally skeptical but this is a great shop with a guy working hard to do right by us fisherman. Highly recommend!

This is THE bait shop. Huge selection, great prices. Staff is super knowledgeable, hella friendly and even more helpful. I frequently walk in with the most brain-dead questions and get detailed, enthusiastic answers. My man knows his stuff and wants his customers to catch fish.

Was in town for a few days, but forgot my pole at home. Stopped in right before closing and he hooked me up Uber cheap just to get me out there! Super friendly guy!

Great customer service. Helped me learn what is working for catfish and bass on the lake and even gave me some tips on where to fish. I’m a customer for life because of that. Great prices, great people.
