I purchased my first sewing machine. I got free classes and I am having fun with the owner. She is super nice and helpful she’s knows a lot about sewing machines. She showed me how to do a lot of fun things on my new Janome. Thank you!

Called to try and get a little info with an issue I am having with an old viking designer 1, the lady on the phone said her tech would know better about the issue I was having but when I asked to talk to him she said rudely "He's not going to help you fix it." I get they are a business, I am a business also, I go out of my way to help people, this shop clearly doesn't. I would find someone else.

Nice little store. She tried to help me with my cheap Chinese sewing machine, but it was too much to fix. Good selection of material and sewing machines.

I brought my Pfaff sewing machine in to be repaired. When they couldn't find it, I was told that I must have picked it up. After several more inquiries, I was told that the repair person threw it away! I was offered a machine but knew nothing about the brand. Then the owner of this store buys a Pfaff on ebay for $200 but says she doesn't know if it runs and I would have to pay to have it checked out. We already knew they couldn't get replacement parts. This issue was never resolved and I should have taken them to court. Recently, my husband bought me a new Elna at Auburn sew & vac. Great place with friendly and knowledgeable owner. I would never recommend Howells

I went in today looking for a new sewing machine. The floor model wasn't available to try out. Without knowing for certain that I would be purchasing this particular machine, the owner pulled a brand new one out of the box to let me try. She took time out of her day to sit down and help me learn how to use this machine and gave me a few tips as well. I am so happy I came home with a machine I am confident I will be able to use.

What a great experience! Brought my machine on (Babylock) for a maintenance service..and had it back in less than a week! Women owned business, local and fabulous to deal with...will be back soon. Had a small selection of quality fabrics which I would be happy to purchase next time. Pricing was competitive with other establishments down the hill. Why go to meissners? Stay local and support.

I love this shop! Today I got some cute fabric and seam bias tape. Even with the emergency, the shop is well stocked. Everyone is greeted by the owner's cute puppy! I've purchased my sewing machine from Howell's, and it was a great deal and a reliable and easy to use machine! They always have just what I need!
