I have been coming here for over 3 years and love to take my time browsing, so many interesting things to see, from artwork, area rugs, interesting art pieces for display, outdoor furniture as well, and they do a nice job of displaying.
The staff has always been very friendly, from sales help, who will offer advice if asked, to the youngins that help load in the back, they are always professional and courteous, and actually use manners, which isnt always a given, sadly, anymore.
Sometimes the prices seem high on some items, but the majority of their inventory also is either brand new or just looks it. So the quality is always very good to excellent. They dont take in any junk, or low grsde items, and they have a repair area to make sure things are touched up. Its rare to see "ikea" grade items but if you do, the price will reflect the quality and you will score a deal etc. They also used to get unique hand made walnut furniture items from a supplier that were exceptionally made. Highly recommend if you want something nice but dont want to pay retail.

My instore experience went well but the couch I ended up purchasing had a lot of white animal hair in all the cracks (it is a dark gray couch). The sales associate assured me they would have it vacuumed out real well before I got it delivered. It showed up at my house covered in hair still. I called to complain and the woman that answered just blew me off and said she had just forgotten it. Then she went on to say “what, don’t you have a vacuum?!” I politely explained that she was missing the point, and she very cockily stated “what, so you want me to come over and vacuum it for you?” Very rude interaction. This establishment will not have my business ever again. So disappointed.

We went in to check on my diamond wedding band that had been sitting for a while. The blond woman at the jewelry counter was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We hope our ring sells soon and that it’s also going to be as good an experience as this.

I was pleasantly surprised with this new discovery. The store is large and has both new and consignment items. I found a pair of leather chairs at a great price. There's also a jewelry counter and a connection to moving service if your items are too large or heavy to move yourself. I will be back to see new inventory. I am consigning my large 6-person patio set there.

I was disappointed when I arrived at Home Consignment Center which was my first visit.
There are two reasons I wouldn’t go back.
1. No public restroom and the owner said customers don’t mind, they will go next door to Trader Joe’s.

Does a retail store have to have a public restroom in California?
This bill requires a place of business that is open to the general public for the sale of goods and that has a toilet facility for its employees to allow any individual who is lawfully on the premises of that place of business to use that toilet facility during normal business hours, even if the place of business does ...

2. The Jewelry Manger said something very strange to me. I asked him about repairing my diamond bracelet which is made of single-cut diamonds. He said if I replace the cuts who say that you won’t say they fell out and want them to be replaced. And he said I do not want to repair the bracelet.
I said, Okay.
His words haunted me all afternoon when I got home I mentioned the incident, to my
daughter as the jeweler said.
We came to the conclusion he was questioning my integrity or my skin color.
All I can say... I felt insulted.

We bought 2 sets of furniture and brought truck and our SUV to load. they had no one to help us. my 68 eight year old husband and I had to try pick heavy furniture. They had one man which didn’t want to work, lazy and unwilling! they were telling us if you want the to move it with independent company and they charge you. it just didn’t make sense to have no one to help us with loading and insisting on independent moving company with very bad attitude. never going back again

Rather than go into lengthy detail of our horrible experience, I will just say this: read the negative reviews (especially the Yelp ones), as there is a lot of truth there. I wouldn't send my worst enemy to consign here, which is sad because we had great experiences back in 2017/2018 but not this last year. That said, if you do, make sure you have zero care for the item you are selling to the point to where you'd be okay with donating it. IF you still decide to consign and care about your item, make sure you take a full 360-video-walk-around of your item, covering every inch top to bottom, showing the date and time at the location AT the time of drop-off. You will surely need it to later prove the condition your item was in when you dropped it off(!!!) Not worth the headache, imo. Good luck!
