Great sales. Knowledgeable and friendly. However, the delivery of the stove took 3 attempts to arrive. Invoice number was left off on two deliveries. Finally delivered and the driver/technician installed the wiring without a "strain relief" which is against Code. (Code 205.14(2) - Strain relief of cords and cables shall be maintained to prevent pull from being transmitted to joints or terminals.) We installed the strain relief to speed up the process. Hollways was able to give us a 3yr warranty for our troubles which was appreciated.

Holloways is the BEST appliance store I have ever been to. Everyone who works there was very pleasant. Our salesman, Paul, was very personable and knew everything about the gas double oven range I was interested in. He answered all of our questions. We decided to buy a GE Cafe gas range with a double oven. It was very expensive, yet Paul gave us a very nice discount. When we need to replace our next appliance, we will be going to Holloways.

Holloway's delivered a damaged Frigidaire range and refused to replace it. Their delivery staff scratched a sheet metal panel with no electronics or moving parts on the top of the range. Despite four months of waiting and six service calls, including multiple no-shows and a technician who seemed impaired, they still haven't resolved the issue.

I strongly advise against using Holloway's for appliance purchases or repairs.

Well, so far this has been one of the worst service experiences I have ever had. We purchased a fridge after going over the specs with a sales person. The delivery team of two came out on Friday. One of the team (we will call him Helper #2, who was apparently in charge) was less than helpful and clearly did not want to be here. The team could not manage to shut off the water to our old fridge's water maker and decided it was time to go. After disconnecting the tubing from the old fridge, water was still running through it despite water being shut off in the house. I was told to get a plumber and they were halfway out the door. When I asked helper #2 why he could reconnect the tubing to the old fridge and leave versus connect it to the new fridge, he came up with no answer. Helper #1 said not to worry about it and he would take care of it, while Helper #2 made a video of the tubing with water running through it and sent it to the warehouse manager, Arnold, who then called me and told me I would have to get a plumber. When I asked him why they could connect back to the old fridge with water running, but not the new one, Arnold came up with some song about the new icemaker may not like this. Meanwhile, if the tubing were connected, the water would be running through it to get water and ice. While this charade was going on, I googled the problem and Google told me there was a shut off for the fridge water under my sink. Indeed there was. Water shut off.

Next there was the delivery of the new fridge that was attempted through one door, but not the door where it would have fit. Helper #2, who Holloways had as their lead on this job, did next to nothing to help bring in the new fridge. The fridge did not fit and Helper #2 went to the truck for a snooze (see picture attached). Helper #1 brought the new fridge back to the truck. The truck left with my new fridge and old fridge (which had been torn apart) in it (and my food all over my counter in the kitchen). I called Arnold and he offered me a fridge loaner to be delivered in three days. He said the fridge would not fit in my house. At that time Holloways got the salesperson on the line who sold me the fridge, who assured me the fridge would fit in the correct door. Eventually, the Holloways team returned to my house and helper #1 (who was a good worker) single handedly carried my old fridge and its parts back into my house and reassembled it and then left. Helper #2 asleep in the truck. Before leaving, he indicated that if he had a guy on the truck who would help him he could have brought the fridge in the correct door and completed the delivery. This was a two and a half hour charade away from work for me.

I called Gary Holloway the next day (Saturday). He has been non-responsive and it appears this is not worth his time. His father, Bob Holloway, however, called me back and apologized. Helper #2 was no longer with the company. He promised me that his "A team" would appear on Monday with my fridge. Monday I removed all of my food from fridge and freezer and waited... and waited ... and waited. At 5:30 pm I called and spoke to Steve at the company, who assured me that his team was still working and would deliver my fridge Monday. He told me he called the team and left them a message to call me with an estimated time. By 9:30 pm Monday evening I did not have a fridge or a call or anything.

Here it is Tuesday. I have tried to call but no answer yet. I wonder if I will get a fridge today.

Do not use this company. Even if the prices appear good and the sales people appear persuasive. This is really not acceptable service. Run to your nearest Costco, Home Depot, Lowes, SK Lavery, Manny's or really any other competitor. The service and experience cannot be worse.

Please note that in the past I have used Holloways and I went back. Five years ago they were excellent. Two years ago the service was average, but good enough to go back. I know that one star reviews are sometimes the outliers- but this one is for good reason.

The entire transaction was easy and smooth, and any small hiccups along the way Gary took care of like a gentleman!

Somehow they got my review deleted. Bought a Fisher and Paykel dishwasher which never worked right, still won’t complete a full cycle regularly without errors. Support has been out multiple times. I went into the store and asked about getting a new replacement dishwasher from another brand and whether they could offer me a discount. They laughed at me and said no.
Won’t ever do business with them again when they support a ripoff brand.
