I was in need of a dryer but could not afford a brand new one so I went to haulbrook's. I ended up paying $270 for a used dryer. Once I got at home we discovered that it was not working we had to cycle through 4 times just to dry 1 load of clothes. The next day I returned this dryer, the 1 in the picture and ask for my money back. He refused to give me my money back that said that I could have $270 store credit. We do not give refunds, he told me. Looking at what this store has to offer there is nothing in there for $270 or less. I explained to him that there's nothing there for me to buy but he did not want to hear this period I left the dryer at their door and told them that I would like to talk to the owner. Later that day my sister got a call from the owner he stated that he will give us $270 store credit. Today we went to his store, he was very disrespectful talk down to us was Extremely Confrontational. After about 15 minutes of this we ended up Telling him that we don't want to buy anything in his store because it's all Garbage and that we want nothing from him. I strongly recommend that nobody does business with this individual, I guess you get what you pay for if you buy garbage you get garbage. I very rarely get a badd review such as this Kind of business should not be tolerated in Oroville or anywhere else. He knew that this dryer did not work when he sold it, but would not admit it and surely would not give us our money back. Beware of this place

This review has been a long time coming. Semi-Recently I purchased a high end couch from Tyler here at Holbrook's. My lady and I had an idea of what we wanted but didn't know what brand, style or accessories we wanted. Tyler walked us through our wants and needs and helped us find the exact couch we wanted. Tyler was very patient with us and really helped us walk through each manufacturer and what to expect from them and didn't try to oversell us. We left that day having purchased the couch. We paid for the delivery to Chico which was very reasonable and his employee brought everything inside which I was very grateful for. (couch was extremely heavy) . Once we got the couch we had to assemble just a few parts. We called Tyler up and he really helped explain how it works. Tyler was very knowledgeable on every product and we had the couch put together within minutes. I highly recommend Holbrook's in Oroville. I've bought several pieces from Tyler now and it has been a good experience every single time.

Is half star an option? First off, our original order was botched due to the ongoing conversation about the devil, God, free masons... I'm pretty sure aliens and monsters were the next subject? Anyways our order got messed up on our dinning table. We got the missing bench on order, which now wasn't part of the original conversation and we will have to pay for that separately? It took me 2 months of countless calls, that would most of the time, get ignored or answered and I'd be told to I'll get a call back which NEVER happened. Some calls would actually get forwarded but when I'd call from a different number he would answer immediately. Anyways, after all of this I finally get my bench and he charged me nearly $20 more than I was told. When I mentioned the poor experience and lack of professionalism, he simply said "I dont have room to discount and oh sorry about the customer service" and left it at that...it weren't for the holiday I would have canceled everything.

Long story short, I do not recommend this place what so ever. Very poor customer service! Do yourself a favor and seek out other options.
