We had a non-standard size pavilion designed and built to fit in the area between the end of our swimming pool and the side yard property line. We would have preferred a standard size pavilion, but due to a 5' building setback we were left with very little usable space. The Hitching Post provided a full set of engineering drawings and negotiated all of the permits for us. They also extended the existing pool deck out for us. We are very pleased with the final project. My only two complaints were that that the process took 6 months to complete, and they did not provide a crew to relocate the existing underground pool and sprinkler system pipes. All of this was explained to me well in advance, so there were no last minute surprises. Our new pavilion looks great and it is engineered to stand up to any future storms that may come our way.

My kids are soooooo happy with their playset that we surprised them with for Christmas. The height of it for my kids is great the quality is amazing. I was so happy that Mike was able to help us get the perfect set for our backyard. The quality over a wooden one is thousand times better. Had a new shed designed and assembled by the team at Hitching Post - overseen by Kathy. She was very good and helped us pick the perfect shed design, with shutters, trim and roof shingle color to match what we envisioned.

It was custom ordered in March and arrived in May. The day before installation, a crew arrived to prepare the shed site, even it out and spread a rock base. On Installation day, their shed crew arrived to build the shed and it was completed in around 3 hours. (shed is pre-built in Pennsylvania and shipped to Florida in sections - and assembled by the Hitching Post.) They also created the shed blueprints, engineering info and submitted to the Town for permitting, and managed the multi-step permit approval inspections.

After final inspections and permit approval, we painted the interior ourselves and also installed vinyl flooring, which was left over from a previous project.

Update on 10/2023:

Once again the Hitching Post came through with amazing customer service. I needed a few extra pieces to help hold up an extra large canopy that I attached to my swingset. Mike got everything take care for me so I could move forward with additional shade over the play area.

After a year and a half with the new swing set, it still looks brand new. Every once in a blue moon, I power wash it and it looks amazing. It is always a hit for the neighborhood kids to come and play at my house. Thank you again for making and selling such high quality stuff. We are so pleased with everything.

UPDATE on 4/8/2022:

We liked the first swingset so much that we decided up upgrade it to a larger swingset and add astroturf underneath of it. Wow!! It is even more amazing than it was before. I never imagined how much of a difference having astroturf would make, but it does. It is so nice to have a clean area under the swingset and I never need to worry about if the yard needs to be mowed or not. The play area is always ready to go. The guys installed everything so fast. It took 1 day to put in the astroturf and a 1/2 a day to assemble the swingset. They knew exactly what they were doing and were incredibly efficient. They even power washed the entire area when they left so that it would be nice and clean for my child to start playing right away. I have only positive things to say about the entire experience. Everyone I spoke with at the Hitching Post was extremely helpful and made the process of purchasing and installing very easy, even though I changed my mind many times about different items I wanted to add. Vinyl is definitely the way to go. I had the last swingset for 2 years and it looked brand new when they took it away. Even the green canopy roof didn't fade at all. Absolutely amazing! If you are looking for a high quality swingset or astroturf.... or both, the Hitching Post is the place to go. I have added some pictures so you can see what awesome work they do. 2020 Review:

I purchased a swing set from the Hitching Post within the past few months. Wow! I can't say enough great things about the entire experience. The sales reps were very informative and responsive. They answered all of my questions in a timely manner and were very pleasant to work with. Their outdoor showroom is great. It gives the customer a first hand look at what they are purchasing before they make a purchase.

The swing set itself is amazing. I purchased the vinyl set up with the sun canopy. It is awesome! I can push my 2 year old daughter on the swings at lunchtime in the South Florida heat while being totally comfortable due to the shade the canopy provides. We are able to use it most of the day without having to worry about getting burned by the sun. I highly suggest getting the sun canopy. It makes a world of difference. I removed the canopy by myself once for a storm that was coming and it was not too difficult to reassemble after the storm had passed. I'm also glad I went with the vinyl. I think it will be very easy to maintain over the years and will not have the weathered look that some wood can have.

Overall, I am very pleased. Every time I look at the swing set, I think to myself "that was a great purchase". Thanks again to Kathy for helping me pick out such a great addition to our yard. We love it!

What a great experience from start to finish at the Hitching Post! The owner Mike was fun to work with and really made us feel like we were family. He worked with us on the size of our yard and came in well below our budget. The install was professional and went very smoothly. The install crew made sure it was exactly where we wanted it before anchoring it down with the hurricane straps. They even had an extra piece of synthetic turf on the truck they put at the base of the slide and ladder at no charge. Highly recommend this company for all your backyard needs. We are definitely lifetime customers.
