This place is a hidden gem! Went in a little too close to closing time, and still were kindly greeted and helped, so sweet of them! Went specifically for sausages, but they had so many delicious fresh options, it was hard to focus. We ended up getting a Cafe Cubano coffee, their addictive homemade chicken salad, tasty sugar free bacon, Italian, hot Italian, chorizo, smoked andouille and smoked jalapeño cheddar sausages. If you want to treat yourself, the smoked jalapeño cheddar might just do it and if you’re having a rough day, smoked andouille with spicy sauerkraut, ketchup, mustard and mayo will perk you right up! This is now our smoked sausages place for sure!

Service was good. A bit pricy for ground beef. But was lean. So that’s a plus. The Italian sausage was good. Hot could be hotter. lol. Wasn’t a fan of the breakfast sausage though. A bit too much sage in it. But to each their own. Not many actual butchers around. So I will give them them business. Rather support mom and pops over chain.

Absolutely amazing local market! If you are in the area do yourself a favor and stop to get some good stuff from Hartzell’s! Wow lucky for those who live around here to have a special gem like this. Where do I begin… fresh homemade everything and we grabbed as much as we could and it was all spectacular!

Homemade - Baked Beans, Pulled Pork, Pasta Salad, Blackberry Pie, Cookies, Coleslaw, Sausages, Mahi Mahi Fish Dip, Potato Salad was all just perfect! Honestly doesn’t get better than this!

There is so much more we wanted to try but we simply ran out of time as we were only in town for a couple nights.

They had fresh baked pies and cookies right out of the oven and fresh cut meats which looked very good and high quality.

Too bad we don’t have this place near us but will be something to look forward to the next time we visit the area.

We have been looking for a great steak to grill since we moved down from New England. We wondered into this gem and were greeted immediately with a friendly smile and summary of what they have to offer. We purchased the mahi mahi smoked dip, sausage, and a 1-1/2 inch thick ribeye to grill. We shared the dip with neighbors and it was an immediate hit. We grilled the ribeye and it was just perfect!! Tender, juicy, buttery, and flat out awesome! This will be our only place to shop for quality meats. You will not be disappointed. Thank you!!

Oysters are salty fresh and ready for pickup the next day. Texas oysters so they all had some size to them. Last one I cracked had a pearl inside. I highly recommend stopping in this place. If you have a taste for something you don't see just ask I'm sure he will either get it asap or has it in the back!

I give 100% non recommend.

We had hogs processed from a hunt and mailed to us.

The whole order was wrong.

The delivery was days late with no ice.

The price came in 2 times more expensive for about half the meat we were supposed to get.

I'm definitely not going back to Hartville's. The place just gave off a bad vibe, and the staff was rude. Everything was messy and dirty and smelly Plus, their prices are all over the map – one day it's one price, the next it's something else. That's not legal, you can't just flip-flop prices like that. Everything's gotten too pricey there; containers that were $4.99 are now $13.99. . Ive been thinking about taking action against false advertising

And If anyone thinking about suing Hartville's for false advertising, it sounds like you've got a strong reason to. The price inconsistency could definitely be a part of your case.
