Wow! Yet another great experience shopping at the Hamilton Plaza Ace Hardware store. Once again Diana helped me with my purchase, (recognising me from my earlier visit). She arranged delivery - which was a fabulous idea. And a shout out to Alec as well, for he offered to assemble my new Wheelbarrow. Great and friendly customer service is a terrific value to me.

5 star experience this past week at ACE hardware on Hamilton in San Jose. My wife & I purchased a Webber NG grill last weekend. From our first phone call to ask about the Webber collection Colin was an outstanding help. When arriving all the staff was so nice & helpful.. Colin help us pick the best grill with all accessories that fit our needs, set up the assembly & delivery 2 days later.
Nico contacted us several times throughout the day arriving on time with the grill build was perfect.. we used 3 days already in less than a week. Everything working perfectly.
We purchase the 325 and couldn’t be happier.

Attentive and helpful staff. A big contrast with the Hamilton Home Depot, not that the staff there aren't helpful but they are often hard to find or busy with other customers.

This location would not honor the 30 day return policy as printed on the receipt (Receipt required, within 30 days, no power tools). I discovered I didn't need an item after I purchased it and attempted to return it 12 days later, well within the 30 day window. The item was not a power tool, it had not been used at all and it was still in the original packaging.

When I attempted to return it with the original receipt, I was told the item was non-returnable. When I mentioned it did not say anywhere that the item was non-returnable, the staff put a green non-returnable sticker on the item and gave it back to me, saying their computer would not accept the return. Terrible customer service, would not recommend purchasing anything here if there's a chance you might not need it and want to return it.

When I shopped here a few months ago the store was run by a few teenagers who were totally lackadaisical and clueless as to what customer service is all about. They were completely antagonistic. I will never shop here again.

This is a brand new location, and being a bicyclist, it's very convenient to have a store nearby to buy hardware for tune-ups. I stopped by today looking for a nut to replace the stripped one on my bike. The store associate Jacob was very helpful, he took me straight to what I was looking for, was quick, and was kind to compliment my favorite necklace when ringing me up. It's great to meet helpful employees who have knowledge of the store, especially since it's brand new. And the bright attitude was definitely a plus! They have a no backpack policy though, and having my backpack stolen before, I don't like leaving it behind. However, it was kept safe and secure behind the register so I wasn't too worried
