Great News for Puzzle Lovers!

Habitat for Humanity on N. Old Dixie Rd. in Jupiter has made a wonderful change—moving their jigsaw puzzles from the overly stocked “Misc.” room to a more prominent bookshelf near the books! This new location should help keep puzzles in better condition and reduce the chances of lost pieces.

If you’re looking for affordable puzzles, their thrift shop has the lowest prices in the area. It’s a great place to find a bargain while supporting a fantastic cause!

This is the BEST Habitat store we have visited. The organization and display of merchandise by Emily and the staff is top notch. The store is clean and very well run. The selection, due to the area is fantastic. We really like seeing the social media posts of newly arrived treasures. This store delivers on all fronts; Selection, Customer Service, Organization and Price.

The seed for Habitat for Humanity was planted at a community farm outside of Americus, Georgia by farmer and biblical scholar Clarence Jordan. Jordan along with Habitat founders Millard and Linda Fuller developed the concept of partnership housing. Those in need of shelter would work side by side with volunteers to build affordable homes at no profit. House payments would be combined with no interest loans provided by supporters which would then be used to build more homes.

In 1973, the Fullers took their house building concept to Zaire where they worked for three years. When they returned to the United States they founded Habitat for Humanity International in 1976. President Jimmy Carter and his wife Rosalynn became involved and raised awareness. Habitat is now in all 50 states in the U.S. and in more than 70 countries. They have helped 29 million to be able to afford safe shelter.

In 1991 Habitat for Humanity launched the concept of the ReStore in Winnipeg, Canada. In 1992 the first Habitat for Humanity restore opened in the U.S. in Austin Texas. The ReStores accept donations from the community and home improvement stores and then resells the items to the public at a discounted price. The profit from the ReStore supports the local Habitat for Humanity affiliate.

I discovered this Habitat for Humanity Restore around the corner from where I had lunch. Compared to other restores I have visited, this store was cleaner, neater, and had more items. Several rooms were filled with furniture, clothing, accessories, home goods, decorative items, large and small appliances, toys, lamps, books, baskets, and linens. I was tempted by a $6 instant pot. On the day I visited they were having an additional 20 percent off pink tags. This is a great store to thrift, especially if you are setting up your first home. Shopping and donating to Habitat for Humanity really helps people in need.

I have been shopping at this store for years and always find a treasure. The team is always friendly, helpful and courteous. The manager, Emily has done an amazing job recruiting new shoppers of all ages to show support for habitat for humanity and other great causes. I highly recommend making this store a part of your shopping experience and I promise you won’t be disappointed.

This is my favorite Habitat store! I always find the best deals. The store is really well organized and the staff is wonderful. The manager Emily really helped me out when I needed assistance.
The Jupiter location was very busy with a very worthy event raising funds for Suicide Prevention. I loved that they were raising money for such an important charity and appreciated that she stopped to help me and answered my questions. I’ve shopped at this location before and the volunteers (especially Laura) have always been so helpful!

My family and I love Habitat for Humanity in Jupiter! Every time we drop by, we find a great selection of clothes, furniture and appliances. The other day I picked up a Lilly Pulitzer blouse for my mom, a few fun shirts for my daughter and a brand new Nike duffel bag for my son. The staff is top-notch as well. They are always smiling and available. We also love the community events that they host. Good vibes, good merchandise, good people -- it's the best little shop in the area!

I grew up going to thrift stores with my creative Mother. When we found Habitat in Jupiter we didn't need to look any further! I cannot count the treasures we've found there. The staff is absolutely amazing; kind and helpful. Can't wait to get there every week to checkout the new arrivals!!! Highly recommend 😀
