Mr.Tate reminds me of a general from back in the Victorian times. So perfect and fitting for the house.It's a stupendous house with a fair price I feel to stay. They are very fair people I got the impression in keeping the price reasonable making it easier for most people to be able to afford for a night and enjoy. I admire that. The house is beautiful and still has that vintage look inside and out. I seen so many houses that get renovated that it looses it's genuine vintage appeal for me and its not the same, so I really loved ❤️ it. : )
The hospatality was great and I really like how they have an entrance with a ramp for the handicap again making it easier for anybody to come and enjoy. Beautiful and kind.

We toured the Grand Gables Inn with the GFWC Woman’s Club of Palatka Christmas Tour of Homes. The owner was gracious and showed us many interesting things about this Queen Anne style home. The bedrooms are spacious and look like most have queens beds. The owner stated the each bedroom has its own private bathroom. There is a turret, at the very top of the house, which we were allowed to enter. One of the most interesting things that the owner showed us was the hidden tunnel that originally went all the way down to the St. John’s River. A short length of it was excavated but the remainder is still blocked off. Staying at this Bed and Breakfast would be a wonderful alternative to staying in a motel.

Gorgeous 1890s B&B with authentic details! Loved exploring without hosts hovering over me. Beautiful furniture and my bed in Sargent's Landing was so comfortable. Already planning next trip.

This place just screams haunted. And it’s currently for sale. Air B&B ready you can own a piece of American history. Ghosts and all. Located in Palatka’s historic district you have to assume paranormal activity is common on this land. After all. What is history without the presence of spirits bound to this realm unable to enjoy the afterlife. This massive building could potentially hold as many as 8 poltergeists! Great Bed and breakfast. Emphasis on the breakfast

Stayed for 1 night and wished I could have stayed longer. The hospitality is phenomenonal and the room had everything I needed. The owners were very considerate when thinking about what their guest would need. The porch is so peaceful and has a lovely view of the river. The breakfast was homemade and they were highly accommodating to serving their guest based on their guests’ morning schedule. The building is 140 years old and in immaculate condition. It was fun to get a mini tour to better appreciate what I was looking at. I felt that I was in a very comfortable and inviting museum. What a gem!

Absolutely gorgeous! We were traveling north from Tampa and were looking for a place to spend the night, when my mom found this place. The rest of us didn't know what to expect, so when we pulled up, we were absolutely amazed by the grandeur of the building. It was nighttime, and all the Christmas lights were on, so it just beautiful. Far more breathtaking was the interior, though. As we stepped in, the intricate decorations and luxurious style of the house just blew us away. As we explored more of the house when making our way up to the second floor to our rooms, we just got more and more impressed. It felt like time travel, honestly. Mr. Tate and Mrs. Jessie were also very kind and welcoming, and he truly completed our stay by offering us a guided tour of the house, as we were the only ones staying there. The food was good too and Mrs. Jessie is very sweet. I highly recommend for anyone to experience this if only for one night. Thank you so much for everything!!

We went to the Grand Gables Inn overnight for our 56 wedding anniversary. The place is absolutely gorgeous. When we pulled up to the Inn the view was outstanding. We had the large suite downstairs, included Pauline’s parlor nice size bedroom, huge bathroom and foyer. The decor was amazing I love old houses and the Inn had a lot of character. Tate and Jesse were super houses. We were given the grand tour of the entire house. I was mesmerized by the rooms, decor, antiques and the history of the Inn. I would stay there again.
