I said going to grand Avenue hardware about 10 years ago. It seems, but it was really only 8 anyways. The owner is a great guy. His help is the best I've ever dealt with. They're always willing to help me out with question about hardware.

Small but mighty independent hardware store. One of the associates took me on a tour through the entire shop and helped me pick out a wide variety of tools. Will stop here instead of home depot next time.

Neat Mom and Pop store, friendly service. Sells mostly items needed for handy work around the house. You can get your keys made here. There are also limited household things sold, like food containers, cleaning supplies, and bird houses. But the inventory looks old; some items look yellowish, not sure how long they have been on the shelf. And the prices are high too.

I probably wouldn’t mind shopping here if there isn’t that harsh chemical smell.

This place is great. They have moved across the street to 311 Grand, so the streetview and this link is wrong, but it's directly across the street so you can't miss it. The only thing wrong was that it was a little cramped and dark, but in the new location it's great! Fresh clean and new lighting. They have everything, housewares to paint to fasteners to tools and everything else. I buy a lot of stuff for my business here. We love Grand Ave Hardware.
