Steven Pyle was very professional, showing us all the options they had available to fit our needs for a new floor in our kitchen, breakfast area, powder room and laundry room. He explained how to access Shaw’s website to get a virtual picture of how our selections would look. Once we made a selection, he gave us a quote that was less than two others we obtained. Dennis, Hector and Gerson did an excellent job installing. It took them about 8 hours to remove old linoleum and wafer board and install the new LVT and shoe molding. We will not hesitate to use them again.

We had new carpet and padding installed this past week. Steve at GA Flooring was exceptionally thorough in helping with our selection and explaining the entire process. We bought top of the line carpet and padding at a great price. The gentleman who measured our house was outstanding. We moved a lot of things on our own, mostly leaving the heavier furniture for the installation team. The crew was fantastic and worked hard all day. Great quality work and care. My husband and I had purchased a beautiful luxurious engineering wood flooring to replace the carpet in our family room several years ago from GA Flooring at an unbeatable price that was admired by everyone. Recently we had a bigger project and without hesitation visited their showroom in McDonough to be amazed beyond our wildest dreams.

I was at the very beginning of an entire home remodel. Having never tackled a project like this before, I did my best to explain to Steve what I envisioned the outcome to be, showing him the paint color, pictures of my home, as well as pictures of the new furniture that was to be delivered. Steve immediately saw my vision and took me straight to what I needed, giving me several options to accomplish what I intended. I am an extremely detail oriented person, with a lot of questions. Steve remained patient the entire time, answering every question, never pushing me to a hurried decision. He truly worked from a standpoint of “making sure that I got what I wanted, long term”.

The installation of both the LVP and the carpet was just as easy. The installers were extremely professional and skilled at what they do. They answered every question patiently and did exactly what they said would be done. They showed up every day on time and worked the entire day, something that is extremely rare in today’s time!

I truly cannot express how pleased I am with the entire process! If I ever find myself in the market for flooring again, I will definitely walk in the door at Georgia Flooring and ask for Steve Garrett!

2.5. I choose this place because they were the only place to sell the flooring already installed by the builder of a new construction house. The plan was to remove the carpet on the first floor (living room, hall, 2 closets, a landing and one bedroom) to match the dining room and kitchen for a complete look. This is a very detailed and honest review. Many issues outlined below:
1. Salesperson Sherry was friendly but otherwise non responsive to issues addressed via phone and email.
2. Installer supervisor Rafael was a no show and had 2 of his workers show up over 3 hours late to my home to begin what was supposed to be a 1 day job. His workers arrived at almost 1pm when I was told by Sherry 930am.
3. Workers left approximately 3 hours later stating they lived 2 hours away and needed to leave. They would return the next day at 8 am. (At this point all the carpet had been removed and I was left with 1/3 of my living room finished but with exposed glue and plywood everywhere else).
4. Called Sherry and expressed my displeasure that as a supervisor, Rafael should have been there and his installers just left (many issues with the floor LATER CORRECTED. Asked her to ensure Rafael was there the next day.
5. Installers arrived about 1.5 hours late without Rafael. When asked, I was told he was on his way.
6. Rafael arrived and I express my concerns to which he addressed haphazardly stating he didn’t know I was on the schedule for July 28th and was working on another house in Fayetteville. This is incorrect because I was standing at the sales desk when Sherry called him to confirm the date. He then left my residence before the work was finished and inspected.
7. Workers finished around 130 pm stating Rafael would come back tomorrow at 9 to finish because they didn’t have all the material. Carpet removed on the stair riser leading to basement left hanging creating a trip hazard. See other discrepancies noted in pictures.
8. Now on day 3 of install, Rafael and his installers are a NO SHOW. So at 1130, my husband & I, drive to the store to express our displeasure with another salesperson who was again, very friendly and listened to our concerns. He immediately called Rafael and told him we were there and he needed to make this right.
9. Coincidentally, Rafael was on his way to the store. After showing him the pictures of how his workers left my house, he agreed they were unsatisfactory and told me, he never knew he was supposed to come back and finish the job. I don’t understand how this is possible because I specifically asked his workers to call him the day before and ask why they didn’t bring all the materials they needed and why they again needed another day. Remember, it was still early afternoon.
10. When asked about the additional flooring I paid for to complete the landing on my stairs that was never done because his workers didn’t want to do it without completing the stairs, I was told the flooring was all either damaged or used. Regardless, I paid for the sq ft of hardwood flooring Sherry quoted me based on measurements completed by their guy Randy.
In summary, Rafael did somewhat effectively finish what was unsatisfactory and discussed that he was given the wrong material by the store, and that he should’ve inspected his installers work. As a leading contractor on a job, I expected at minimum for Rafael to arrive the first day and ensure his installers knew the scope of the job as well as inspect their work upon completion. I decided not to use them for the stairs and I did receive a box of hardwood flooring I paid for. Some issues were beyond their control (like the builder placing the fireplace over carpet). Neither Rafael or his workers attempted to rectify the problem and as professional installers, maybe I expected more. After paying almost $5K, me and my husband just used tweezers to remove as much as the visible carpet as we could and had to use clear caulk to seal the gaps of where the shoe nose was installed. Floors are complete but I would not use them again based on communication, installers, tardiness etc.

The whole experience was excellent. From going into the showroom to pick out the style we wanted, the measurement appointment, to the actual installation. We got the kitchen/pantry, entryway, and the hallway/hallway closet done. The two man team arrived on time, reviewed the job with me, and got straight to it. They did an amazing job and left the house clean. I highly recommend GA Flooring.
