I recently used Kathy at George's Upholstery to recovery the seats from my pontoon boat and I couldn't be more pleased. This is the 2nd time I have used their services. The 1st time was to replace a headliner in a Suburban. Both times, she provided a beautiful product and a very reasonable price. I will no doubt continue to use and recommend her service. I recently bought a 2005 Mazda 6i. The headliner was sagging and I wanted to get it repaired right away but with reasonable cost. I called around A LOT of places to get quotes, even upholstery shops in neighboring towns of Gainesville. Cathy gave me the most affordable price to fix my headliner.
I was a little worried that they wouldn't do a great job because there are charging so less. They proved me wrong when I went to pick up my car. The headliner looked as if it was brand new and the color matched perfectly!!
The service was also exceptional! It was raining when I picked up my car and they were waiting for us with umbrellas so we wouldn't get wet while inspecting the car. They are really nice people, easy to work with and they are in the business to make a respectable living.
I am very satisfied with their work and service. I would definitely recommend George's for any auto upholstery work. They know what they are doing.

I needed a motorcycle seat re-upholstered, with fairly complex curves and requiring the fabric to be riveted to a metal shell.

Kathy gave a very competitive quote, and within 48 hours the job was done! It's not factory perfect, but it's 95% with very high quality fabric for a fair price.

Excellent service, and I would definitely use them again.

I had my headliner for my Saturn replaced today. I had called 3 places and Cathy had the lowest price of the three. They moved locations but it is real close to NW 6th St and NW 39th Ave and was easy to find. The work was good and done same day. The shop was located at a residence but was worth the savings. I checked my mileage before and after and it hadn't changed which was a good thing. : )

I brought in a scooter seat that was beginning to rip and took advantage of this situation to create a neat two tone creation.
She was very helpful to me in picking out the material, very polite, and impressed me with how she tried to fit my job in her schedule.

The job came out pretty great! It looks fantastic on the scooter. Look, this is Gainesville, there are a TON of scooters here thanks to UF. If your seat is cracking, bring it in. Invent something creative, and she will do it for a price that is significantly cheaper than you expect and definitely cheaper than what a new seat will cost you. Looking unique is priceless.

The workmanship was very good, the price was great, and the friendliness is fantastic. It is absolutely a local shop. Always try to support local shops.

Living in North Central Fl. it is a must for a bug net for the front of your vehicle, especially during love bug season. Problem is NO ONE (Underscore Added) makes them custom. It is only available in the one size fits all from the auto parts box stores and certainly does not properly fit the vehicle. NOW ENTER GEORGE’S AUTO UPHOLSTERY AND MS. CATHY out of Gainesville, Fla. I visited her establishment with what was left of a tattered bug net that was custom made for my vehicle a few years ago. Unfortunately the prior bug net maker no longer makes them. I handed what was left of the bug net to her and said “Good Luck In Duplicating It”. I asked her to make two of them since no one can custom make it. I got a call from Cathy two days after first making contact with her advising me the two nets were completed. I showed up not knowing what to expect. When she brought them out to my vehicle, my jaw dropped. NOT ONLY DID SHE DUPLICATE THEM EXACTLY, SHE USED HEAVY DUTY MATERIALS and re-inforced all wear points. EXCELLENT WORKMANSHIP AND QUALITY MATERIALS. Her prices were very reasonable. If you were thinking about or need a custom bug net for your vehicle, then THIS HIDDEN GOLDMINE NESTLED IN GAINESVILLE is the place to go. YOU WON’T BE DISAPPOINTED.

Called other places in Gainesville and spoke with Kathy she was half the price .She even worked late to get the work done and delivered rhe truck to me becouse I didnt have a ride to pick it up.Good people.
