Went in for an Oil change with issue with Trunk not opening and requested quote to fix it and order parts. Also requested a quote to replace Key Fob. This was on Oct 11, 2024. Dealership had lunch for the employees and my Service advisor was so keen on enjoying the food rather than catering to the customer as he did not address any of my issues.

I purchased my 2016 VW Passat here back in 2017 from Miguel. It was a pleasant experience at that time. Its been years now and they continue to give me the best experience every single time I go there for scheduled service. I am so glad that I did my purchase here. Recently they helped install performance brake kit that I supplied and must say the guy who installed it, took real good care of it to the tiniest detail. They also told me to bring it back if there is any problem which in my book is a lot from a dealership in case of an aftermarket parts. I had no problems with their service.. great dealership!!

I purchased my Tiguan in July from Gene Langan. I had a good buying experience, didn’t feel pressured at all. I bought a ‘21 Tiguan SE R-Line with about 49,000mi, Certified Pre-Owned. When I picked the vehicle up the next day, while driving home I started to notice some quirks. The car had this strange “shimmy” to it when I’d start to accelerate (gentle acceleration). It also had some rattling going on. I thought the shimmying was in my head, but the ratting was annoying. I brought the car back soon after to have it checked, I was told I’m good to go, they found gravel under the car that was making the noise. I leave, still rattling. Once again I bring it back, now mentioning that the car shakes. I take a tech for a drive, he notices the rattle, but also finally notices the shimmy. I felt good about him repairing my car. The steering wheel would also kick to center while taking gradual turns, something I’ve never experienced before. I pick the car up, there’s coin change in the door panel (how it got there, beats me). Cool, that’s solved. The shimmy on the other hand, I was told was “torque steer” and it was totally normal. I didn’t buy it but I was told everything checked out. The man in service told me the steering wheel issue was purely the electronic steering and that it was also normal. Okay, well a VW dealer is telling me my car is fine, I take off. So now here we are, 4 months later and I finally get my first oil change since I’ve owned it. I bring it to my own guy who I 100% trust. He does an inspection at every oil change, notices a bunch of issues. So I decide I’ll bring it to a different VW service center. The wheels are improperly balanced, it needs 4 brand new tires, a full alignment and calibration, and it has a bent wheel. So now I’m in the hole for at least $1400. How do I get sold a “CPO” vehicle that has all these issues? I feel like I was sold a lemon, and that they didn’t actually do their job of truly inspecting the vehicle to deep it “certified”. I was lied to by service. I’m incredibly unhappy with my experience, which is upsetting because otherwise I love my car. I will be presenting them with this bill in hopes that I can be reimbursed, we shall see. I will update if they pull through and help me out.

I had a great experience purchasing the car, but unfortunately have felt so defeated and disappointed with the service needed for a component they are response to install. As a reminder to all, do research and PUSH them to do the proper maintenance while your car is under warranty, not just temperary fixes.
