We ordered appliances, plumbing fixtures, and a steam shower from Ferguson for our fire rebuild in St. Helena. We moved in to the house only to find the dishwasher wouldn't work. Rather than their acting to resolve the issue, we were passed off to the manufacturer. It's been three weeks now and we might get a service technician out to see what the problem is this week. Then, we'll probably have to wait for repairs or a replacement. Ferguson's inability to step up for a product that didn't work from the outset is awful customer service. We purchased the product from them not the manufacturer.

The steam shower control unit was finally replaced after months, and the refrigerator already has a torn door liner. Ferguson may not be responsible for shoddy products, but they are responsible for recommending and selling shoddy products. When something goes wrong, they should step up and advocate to get things right, rather than placing the burden on their customers.

There's no way we would ever purchase anything from them or recommend them to others.

UPDATE
The technician arrived and informed us that the problem is that the Ferguson installer incorrectly wired the unit, which destroyed the control board, which now needs to be replaced. More delays and my more patient wife is going to reach out to Ferguson again to see if they're willing and able to get us a new dishwasher.

We went to Ferguson after a disappointing visit at another “premium” bathroom supply store where we were left to wander the aisles while the staff ignored us. When we got to Ferguson, Marshall McNatt immediately asked what we needed, led us to the exact faucets we needed. answered all our questions, and even gave us help to problem solve an issue with our Toto toilet. I highly recommend Ferguson and Marshall!

Total inattention and lack of service

Update: Claire -- who commented below -- called me immediately after this review was posted. She apologized and explained that they were short-handed. Obviously management cares, and that says something. Upgrading the review by a star. What I wrote about our experience is still true, but obviously they are trying.

Took almost 2 months to get materials I ordered. Nothing special ordered...just a shower nozzle and a held held shower and a wall holder. People working there were nice but ineffective. TERRIBLE communication between staff and main warehouse and then staff to customers.
Won't go back ..home depot, Lowes, Freidmans would have been better.
They did offer to send me my parts for the 3rd time....lol... and we're gracious enough to tell me at no cost...I had already paid for everything. It's as if sending me an almost 2 month old order which was late, then lost, then forgotten about was some kind of reward. I PAID FOR IT! I asked for help because I had to pay a plumber for his time on the days they "guaranteed" the parts were coming. When I asked for help to offset the cost of that...mind you, not for the entire, but some help, they ABSOLUTELY REFUSED.
You will never get my business back. You had a chance and just didn't care.
Horrible communication and customer service. You can get what they sell ANYWHERE for less and faster!!

So the receptionist here was incredibly rude. I entered the showroom, where nobody was, and she couldn’t even be bothered to make eye contact with me. At a place where you’re expected to drop 50-100 grand on a kitchen, you’d think they would want to be motivated to be welcoming. I looked around, came back to the desk and stood there standing at her while she continued texting on her phone. Finally, she looked up and said “is there something you need?” UM YES, your attention for one moment. There was at least 8 people working here and I could have looked around for 30 minutes with no one noticing. I would suggest going somewhere where your business is appreciated.

Ferguson is not a place I think of when needing lighting and plumbing fixtures but I’m so glad I walked in. They have BEAUTIFUL lighting and plumbing fixtures - PLUS mirrors and kitchen appliances.
