Great store! No need to buy a package of 12 screws if you only need three! They sell individual items. Very knowledgeable staff. Clean store. Good parking.

I tend to out of habit go to the big box stores, but when I was striking out there, I remembered Fairfax Hardware. I stopped in Sunday, quickly greeted and offered help. I needed concrete anchors to fix a stair handrail. The advice I got was spot on. The employee was able to explain why the old ones I had taken out were actually the wrong size for the screw I needed to use. I left with my new anchors (I already had some epoxy) which were way cheaper than what was offered on Amazon because I could buy exactly the amount I needed. My handrails are firmly attached to my brick wall. Shop small.

Quite a small store but full of inventory and everything very well organized and tidy.
Very friendly and helpful staff, they will help you quickly find what you are looking for. This makes the difference with the big chain stores.

If you have fond memories of a small, local hardware store with a helpful staff that always seemed to have a solution to your household maintenance problems, you can still find that at Fairfax Hardware. They've moved a bit and are now in the north end of the Fairfax Shopping Center near Panera Bread.

I've been going to Fairfax for many years but it's just not as good since they moved the other day. I wanted and purchased three bags of 50 lb quick drying concrete mix and all three bags or rock solid. I didn't really realize this until I opened it up and we're usually pours out like powder. It was already cement so it contacted Fairfax through their email address on their website. Three different times with no response. All I'm looking for is a refund on the concrete that I purchased but they will not respond so I'm just leaving this review on the website for that reason. Thank you! About a month later and still no contact. The email on their website has not replied to me and no one has replied to this review. I want my money back please

Went there to buy two things and stupidly left one of the things on the counter after I paid and didn’t realize as I didn’t need the item right away. The woman at the register tracked me down a week later and called me and I was able to go pick it up. So appreciative of the lengths she went to find me!!! A++++ service!

Fairfax has been the best hardware store I've been to. Very knowledgeable, polite, and helpful staff, willing to sell you the right product or recommend a place that has it. Will offer thoughts on your project. Variety, quality, and a great credit/refund policy. My only complaint is made with wishful thinking: I wish he had another store, and that it was right near me!!! (But worth the drive)
