Working with Dorothy Parker Design was a wonderful experience. We hired the team to update our living room and kitchen and are so happy with the results. I have worked with many designers over the years and believe that Dorothy is one of the most talented. She combines excellent taste and creativity with organized project management skills - a rare combination. Our project included furniture selection and layout, tile work, carpentry, painting and accessory styling. Can't wait for our next project!

The team at Dorothy Parker Design were phenomenal to work with. Dorothy Parker is exceptionally talented at handling the process of extraordinarily beautiful spatial design with such ease and grace. She has been an absolute delight to work with throughout my various properties and projects, and I continue to enjoy working with her both personally and professionally. Historically I like to design and decorate my spaces by myself and enjoy the sense of accomplishment, but due to a stressful last year, I pulled her in to consult with me and ensure I wasn't off base in my thoughts. She not only validated my thoughts, but saved me so much time by offering beautiful new suggestions. She is so wonderful to work with that I am continuing to have her help me on other projects. Her design eye is spot on and love her ideas, suggestions, and problem-solving skills. I've enjoyed referring clients her way as well, knowing that they are in excellent, professional, and capable hands.

Super pleased with the opportunity to work with Dorothy. We engaged her as 'designer for a day' she was thorough and prepared! Our prior video call and her prequestionnaire made it possible to get down to business and design details quick during our time together. She laid out a road map to make our renovation plans manageable and prioritized. She suggested things I never would have come up with on my own and we love them! Super helpful, fun, and informative. Working with Dorothy was everything we could have asked for, and more. Because Dorothy was both our designer and the project manager we ended up with a gorgeous, flawlessly designed kitchen and living area and a construction project that was efficient and low stress. Dorothy's first focus was on the space that WE wanted, and she really helped us hone in on what that should look like. She is an expert on responsibly-sourced and eco-friendly products and labor practices, which was important to us and much appreciated. We ended up with a kitchen and living area that reflects our tastes and lifestyle, and functions perfectly. In addition, she hires and manges all of the contractors, is on top of ordering and receiving, and is a meticulous account keeper. Even in the days of delays and inflation our project stayed (mostly) on schedule and (mostly) on budget :), and we are in a space that is absolutely perfect. Highly recommend!

I recommend Dorothy Parker for interior design. She lives in El Cerrito and was great to work with on our living room and kids play/homework space. She had lots of creative and practical ideas I would not have thought of myself. For example, she suggested we put in a window bench with storage that totally transformed this kids area! And we used some IKEA materials which were super affordable. She offered affordable virtual design services as well during the pandemic!
