Yesterday I needed help because I couldn't get the pilot to light. I stopped into Doodlebuggers and explained.my situation. Everyone, and I mean everyone, in the office was trying hard to get someone to resolve this issue. A technician was on his way home to see his daughter's recital but was kind enough to stop by my house first and within minutes my fireplace was up and running. I am so impressed with the service I receive every time I go there. Thank you to all the people at Doodlebuggers.

Just like Tom said in our meeting this morning, “the internet is a wealth of knowledge”, and I should’ve used it to better research Doodlebuggers before attempting to source fireplaces from them. Read Doodlebugger’s responses to negative reviews and complaints on various sites and a clear picture of what we experienced in our brief meeting this morning will make it clear how these folks interact with clients (and how they respond when someone calls them out). I can’t wait to hear how they’re going to defend the meeting we had this morning. They certainly seem like experts in gas/gaslighting. Apologies again Tom for wasting your time this morning. Had I done better research we wouldn’t have made the appointment.

In response to owner: I felt zero embarrassment whatsoever, as you said, I’m not required to know everything about a given product I’m sourcing…that’s precisely why we came to you yesterday but your condescending demeanor and rapid fire information were extremely off putting from the start. We left because of your attitude and lack of professionalism. Your response is exactly what I expected. And I’m thankful for it so others can see what it’d be like to try to deal with you. You should be embarrassed. I’m certainly embarrassed that I considered sourcing from you.

Doodlebuggers did an outstanding job with the cleaning and repairs of our two fireplaces. The technicians were professional, knowledgeable, and competent . The communication with the office staff made the entire process hassle free. In addition, their quote for the suggested repairs was more reasonable than the quote we received from a competitor.

Tonia and the tech who installed the fireplace were very knowledgeable in helping us make an informed decision as to the size of fire box and log set that would best suit our needs. STAY AWAY FROM DOODLEBUGGERS!

Doodlebuggers installed a new set of gas logs for me in my house about two and a half years ago. I recently tried to start the gas logs to verify operation before selling the house. They would not ignite, so I called Doodlebuggers to set up an appointment for repair. I was told that there would be a $250.00 fee for someone to come to the house to assess the gas logs and troubleshoot them. I would then be given a repair estimate itemized with parts and labor. Then someone would return for an additional fee to do the repairs. First of all, who has ever heard of a $250.00 diagnostic fee that is not taken off of the price of the repair? We manage over 200 rental properties, and not one vendor charges anywhere close to that amount for a diagnostic fee, not plumbers, electricians, roofers, not anyone, and the rep from Doodlebuggers was trying to justify the charge by telling me that the techs are trained and certified, as if plumbers and electricians are not.
I can understand that a fee would be charged in case the person decides to use a different repair company, but that was not the case here.
I decided to google the problem, and it turned out to be low power in the batteries in the control unit in the gas logs. I replaced the batteries, and it works fine now. If I had been stupid and agreed to a $250.00 diagnostic fee plus an additional visit, four AA batteries would have cost me at least $400.00. Doodlebuggers is definitely screwing people with the huge diagnostic fee plus an additional trip to do the repairs without deducting the diagnostic fee from the repair bill. Terrible service after the sale.

My experience with this operation was very disappointing. It appears to be run by a SHADY husband and wife team out of Pensacola and Destin, although I cannot confirm their marital status. Despite seemingly being the only option for fireplaces, outdoor kitchens, and related services in the area, I strongly advise against using their services. They will try to scam you with a mandatory inspection that costs no less than $75 before they can help you with anything, and their prices are outrageously high. Instead of relying on them, I recommend searching for the products you need online, where you can find much better deals. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of using their services and had a terrible experience with their unprofessional crew. After fighting with the husband and wife team to get things resolved, I wish I had ordered from a reliable source and hired my own contractor to do the work. DON'T BE FOOLED by this operation's claims - IT'S A COMPLETE SCAM. Wish I read all the other negative reviews first! They make sense now!

I chose to go with Doodlebuggers for my new build fireplace because of what I thought was a good reputation. Price was high, which would have been ok if they stood behind their product. Install was done inappropriately because of lack of communication between them and my contractor. They did find a solution but added additional cost. This was a $10k job that was done very poorly in my opinion. The fix cost $500 and rather than just take care of it they insisted I pay for their mistake, which I did. I tried to reach out to the manager, for months , but kept getting customer service reps who could not provide me any answers.
