Response to Don: The short story > Multiple times he left our house saying it was fixed and it wasn't. Enough said.

Initial Review: Dishwasher would not dispense soap. Almost $500 dollars later, it still doesn't work. We could have randomly thrown a $250 part at it and saved $200 bucks in service fees. There were multiple visits to our house. All but one time we had to chase him down. Yes, one time was him going through some health stuff. But, after that, you said you would get back with us and you didn't.

The initial assessment (which had no diagnostics) was about 5 minutes to say we needed to replace our board due to what he believed may have been a roach shorting something out on the board (because something looked burnt on the board). Everything else works great on the dishwasher. I have no proof anything was wrong with the board because he said he couldn't then test it after the fact because he sent it somewhere...where did you send my working $250 part? Oh and you can't return electrical parts....so when you are told you need the expensive part, even if it doesn't fix anything, kiss your money goodbye.

Also, two times he ran the test cycle and stated the door popped open. I never witnessed this. After last visit he tries to state there must be an intermittent issue in the wiring. Intermittent? It never works, ever. Only on your mystery visit apparently.

FYI, we do not have a rampant bug issue in our house. There were signs of a bug having been under the dishwasher, but that obviously wasn't the problem. Again, we could have chased the issue the same way for less money. Now we have an $800 dishwasher that we've now spent $1300 on and it still won't spit the dang soap out.

It's poor service. Diagnostics on all wiring and boards should have been done up front. I'm still wondering who got money on my original board...that is likely now a "refurb".

I do not recommend this person to fix your appliances. His business practices are unethical. I have been waiting for him to fix my appliance for a week now. He lies and states he will come fix your appliance when the parts come in. He did not come on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, or Saturday as he promised us. The parts came in on Wednesday but they were stolen according to him and that is why he was a no show on Wednesday. On Thursday, he stated " he laid the part down and could not find it." He was a no show on Friday and Saturday. We tried calling him on Monday. No answer. He said that "he would try to squeeze us in." He is very unreliable and lies. He took half of the cost of repairs the first day he came to look at the appliance. I will never hire him again for repairs. I am a disabled Army veteran so he showed me that has no respect for veterans and their time.

He was great. We called about 7:30 PM. He was at dinner but said he would come by after he finished. He was here maybe 30 minutes . We thought it was a timer and maybe couldn’t be repaired. It was a very simple fix and that was it. Very easy to work with and very nice. This was quite a few months ago all still fine.

I had a great experience with Don's Appliance Repair.

I called them to come and fix my washing machine. They were able to come the same day and fix it quickly and affordably.
Don was very knowledgeable and helpful. He explained the problem to me and had the parts on his truck to fix the issue.
I would definitely use Don's again if I ever need appliance repair in the future.

Don saved the day. The previous appliance repair guy said my fridge was unrepairable so my friends recommended Don. He came out right away because it was my fridge (he gets it) and fixed it with a simple part that he already had on his truck for less than the other guys charged for just a service call.
