Dan’s Fans in Delray were super helpful. Alan helped us pick out 3 fans and was very knowledgeable about the shop’s inventory and a great guide for what to look for in a fan, all without trying to upsell you. We had our own electrician install (you should consider using one of their recommended people) our fans. Turns out a wire came loose from a wire nut in the final steps on 1 of the fans. It left that fan behaving oddly and not really working. We called and worked with Larry. Larry walked us through the reprogramming steps (thinking it was a remote control programming problem). He was super patient and helpful. Larry then offered to get a new receiver for us on an expedited basis when the reprogramming didn’t solve the problem. In the process I discovered the true issue (the loose wire). Anyway, the crew at the Delray store was super helpful and provided service that you would never get from a box big store. I highly recommend Dan’s Fans.

Twenty two years agoI bought ceiling fans for our new home at Dan’s and was impressed with the quality of the their merchandise. Twenty two years later I returned because I needed another fan - was very happy they were still in business and were still a quality place.

Went into to buy a fan with light. The light was back ordered have yet to hear from the Boynton Beach store when the light is available for pickup.
Did have an installation issue which was promptly resolved by head office which shows that head office cares about customer satisfaction.

Still waiting on the light that I paid for that goes into the fan. Originally the salesperson said a week or 2-we’re closing in on a month and I keep calling with excuses. Intersting sales says one thing and delivery is totally different.
Let’s see if the light assembly ever arrives-stay tuned. Perhaps head office will care more than the store sales guys.

I purchased a fan 13 years ago. This spring the motor started to make a stress sound. It was time to replace the fan. But to my happy surprise, it was still a fan in stock. So I was able to only replace the motor. That never would have been able if I had purchased a fan from a big box store. I would have been replacing the entire fan. Thanks to Dan’s Fans quality products.

If you want a “whisper-quiet” fan, their Troposair fans are incredible. A year ago, we had one of their most expensive mounted in the living room. Best fan I’ve ever owned. Scratch ahead a year and it was time for patio fan(s). Once again, silent. Even the electrician I hired knew they were quality when he took them out of the box. So why spend $$$ on a hi-end fan? Quality parts. More aluminum than plastic. But more importantly, a true DC motor. Yeah, many advertised on Amazon claim a “DC” motor. But, If you’re spending less than $300 on a fan, it’s not a true DC motor that you get when you spend more. Bottom line, dead silence when I sit underneath a Troposair fan. As far as Dan’s Fans is concerned, nice guys. I dealt with Alan. He had a joke or two (7/10 tbh), but his knowledge where it counts is all that mattered to us. Hope this helps 🙂

THIS REVIEW IS VERY LONG. IT MAY BE WORTH YOUR WHILE TO READ IT IN ITS ENTIRETY. We are very disappointed in the Delray Beach store for a number of reasons. Our contractor recommended this company to buy 7 fans for our newly renovated home. We didn't learn until later on that there are many other stores with even more buying options than Dan's. Initially, Alan served us along with the former manager Jo. They were terrific. Then we had problems with 2 of the 7 fans, but Dan's had a new store manager! The fan in the master bedroom is excessively noisy. It grinds and clicks non-stop. We hired the electrician who installs many of Dan's fans. The electrician came to our house. He made some adjustments to the bedroom fan and inspected our patio fan that we noticed had black marks imbedded all over it. When he climbed up to take a look he told us that the down rod is all rusted!!! What? We just bought these fans! Bewildered, we paid the electrician and he left. The next day the bedroom fan was making noises again, so we called the Delray store. I spoke to the new manager Larry who was less than cooperative. On 3 occasions I spoke with him and he seemed disinterested in helping us. On 3 occasions he promised to call me back but never did. I had to call him each time. Larry told me that he expected the electrician to solve the problems at our own expense and if the electrician deemed that they were "truly" defective, then we would have to take the fans back to the store ourselves to make the exchange for new ones. That means we had to pay the electrician the first time, which didn't solve the problems. We now have to pay the electrician a 2nd time to determine if the fans are indeed defective (our word isn't good enough). If they are in fact defective, which they are, we have to pay the electrician to take them down and put them in our car to take them over to Dan's to exchange them for new ones. Then we have to pay the electrician again to install the new fans. Larry did provide us with a new down rod for the patio fan, which we had to pick up, but we also had to buy a corrosion blocker that the electrician has to put on to prevent the new one from rusting!!!! When we bought the outdoor fan (outdoor being the optimum word here), we were never told we would need corrosion blocker!!! It's all so mind boggling. We paid good money for our fans and now we have to pay even more. When we are all said and done with these 2 fan problems, we will NEVER deal with Dan's Fan City again, nor will we ever buy from this company again. It has left us feeling cheated monetarily and to add insult to injury with very poor customer service practice.

I bought a fan a few weeks ago for $200. Pretty pricey for a basic fan with remote.
After my electrician spent almost 3 hours assembling and installing (lots a small parts) i discovered that the remote functions were limited. The light did not dim and i could not reverse the fan. Even the switch to reverse the motor was inaccessible. The fan came with a cheap 3rd party remote component.
I stopped by the store to express my disappointment over having spent $200 and another $160 for installation for a fan with limited function.
The manager could care less anout my experience.
I could have bought a fully functional remote-controlled fan for 1 /2 the price at home depot.
The limited function remote should have been disclosed before i purchased the fan.

We modernize our garage with closet factory. The installed a wonderful work station and desk. At Dan s fan. I found a fantastic stainless steel fan. Which I loved. I like the fact that it had four adjustable lights. Being new to Delray Beach. , we used the the men that
you recommended
They arrived promptly at 7:30 am as promised. Well much to our chagrin when they opened the fan box they were not stainless steel but white. Naturally we were not able to contact dans fan. And the workers said they would charge extra to replace the white fan with a stainless steel one. Not sure what I would do. I bit my tongue and accepted it. But check out the new I one and do not trust any one at dans fan since the price for either was the same and since I kept raving about the stainless steel look. I can’t believe how they deceived me
