I know my review isn't going to agree with most reviews here, that I read but here goes. I have been coming to Cook's upholstery since the mid 1970s, back then it was a bustling place with several workers and I bought from there for all my upholstery needs throughout the years. The owner got elderly and sold it to the current owner it is actually the mother of the guy that works in the store, that bought it for her son. I was there when they changed ownership hands, and continued to buy my fabrics and such. I had no problems until it came to the time when I needed some upholstery work done as my machine had broken at the moment, and I needed it done quickly. I was kept on hold for 6 weeks. First he was ill, but then he kept my pieces. He got well, and he put me at the bottom of the pile even though I had brought my items in three or four weeks earlier. I check a couple weeks later, and he tells me he changed his mind he didn't want to do my work because it was too complicated. So I wasted 6 weeks of time on this guy, I haven't been back in there since. Been going to Action Upholstery up in Pomona since. What a sad ending of a place that I've been going to since the mid 1970s

Hands down the epitome of small business courtesy and knowledge. Just makes you realize how much of a shame it is that big business has come and pushed all the mom and pop stores out of business because as soon as you walk in you are greeted by a friendly face and he was allways willing to use his years of knowledge and expertise to help you tackle your first project or to finish a family heirloom. Prices are crazy reasonable and quality is top notch. Highly recommend this place

I'm not sure if I dealt with the owner, but the gentleman was very friendly, helpful and gave tips in how to position the foam on seats before upholstery. It's great dealing with local businesses that service bout community with quality and great prices. Thank you!
