We had our fire insert cleaned and some parts replaced over the summer and didn’t have a chance to test it until recently. After having some fires the past few weeks I see now that the insert in great condition! We have an insert that only had a few dealers nearby for maintenance and we are glad we went with Connecticut Appliance & Fireplace Distributor. The manager contacted me directly to get details and appointments squared away to have the insert done perfectly. We will definitely be coming here for future needs!

Just had my gas log set cleaned and prepped for the fall, which will be here before we know it. Shane did a beautiful job, meticulously cleaning the unit and leaving it top shape and refreshed with new rocks and glowing embers. I bought the gas log from cafd and they have come out to service it several times since, doing exemplary work every time. All of my experiences with card have been wonderful. Highly recommend them.

Shane arrived exactly on schedule to perform a Fireplace setup. He was obviously well trained and came properly equipped to do his job, including two large drop cloths to protect the flooring. He was prepared to answer my questions and worked deliberately yet was done in a half hour, including showing me how to do things. First class technician….and ditto for his company.

My wife and I were very pleased with CAFD. The manager, Ryan, handled the process of coordinating with Mendota to receive 2 defective fan blowers and then had their CFAD technician perform the installation. It went very smoothly. Shane installed the 2 blowers that were under warranty and he also performed a thorough cleaning. Shane works methodically and thoroughly, and he is very knowledgeable! He was also friendly and approachable. You can tell this wasn't his first time working on a gas Mendota Fireplace Insert! Great job CAFD!

Wonderful experience working with CT Appliance & Fireplace Distributors. We had a very tough time getting our fire pit serviced for a few months. I had called at least half a dozen other companies in the Hartford area with no luck. Fortunately, CAFD understood our situation and was able to get a tech out to our home. They fixed our fire pit quickly and were very professional. Special thanks to Jeffrey Schley, the operations manager, for all your help! Very thankful and will be calling them again when service is needed.

The repair person was polite and efficient. The only problem I ran into had to do with scheduling. I had set up a time in advance and then received a text on the designated day that the person would arrive at a completely different time. Was able to straighten out the discrepancy by phone and ended up with my original appointment.

Pictures speak for themselves. This is new and cleaned. Received this fireplace hearth as part of a new build install. When I asked if it’s suppose to look like this I was told to try linseed oil. I shouldn’t have to try something on something that is new.

When asked if they were going to do it, they just stopped responding to my emails in July and I received “not my job ”over the phone . I will leave names out of this review.

Other issues with incorrect invoices and warranty were fixed after a long time.
