Not very prompt or available customer service (especially after purchase), and although the products are solid, they are severely overpriced.

If you purchase a mantle, be warned it is tight fitting primed MDF, with little to no wiggle room. You have to be very precise and you'll want a partner to help hold the fireplace to the wall mounted bracket so that it is perfectly flush. Otherwise the mantle won't fit over it.

The fireplace itself would rate 4 stars, and if the machined screws weren't soft (strips easily) and the threaded inserts were a size larger and the mounting bracket machined better (its a little challenging to adjust it flush without any machined grooves), then it would be 5 stars. It's visually impressive, functional, and very sturdy.

Unfortunately, these folks demonstrate below average customer service, and in two interactions after the purchase (both to ask simple, quick, yes/no questions) it's like pulling teeth to get help. Sometimes businesses have this type of lopsided approach to customers, where prospective customers are the primary focus and paid customers they'll get to when they have time (and if they're not too much trouble).

Great products, but would recommend buying from a different location, if its practical.

We had an excellent experience with Colorado Fireside. The staff is courteous and knowledgeable, and helped us select the appropriate pellet insert and gas fireplace for our cabin. They answered all of our questions. They also repaired some damaged vents on the roof for us, including heavy duty stabilization of all the flues and vents on the roof. Greetings, my wife and I decided to replace our deluxe gas fireplace we inherited with the home and get a wood burner for superb heat. We were treated professionally and personably by the staff inside the shop and installation at home. The folks who serviced us in and out of the showroom were truly fantastic. Ryan, Jason, Scott the Manager and Scott the installer. We encountered the best ownership and support from this group that we’ve ever experienced in our 64 and 67 years of life, respectively. Seriously, we give Colorado Fireside the best rating possible as they came through with knowledge and performance and extra service that we all expect but rarely find. Thank You Colorado Fireside!

We bought a Quadra fire pellet stove from this store and the customer service was outstanding from initial purchase to questions at install. The stove stopped working two days after purchase and they sent someone out that very morning to diagnose and fix the problem. The problem ended up being the chimney and had nothing to do with the stove but they still took the whole stove apart cleaned it fix the chimney and make sure that the stove was in working condition. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a heating solution for their home. There customer service cannot be match. This was our second stove we bought our first stove from a big box store but had a ton of problems and no customer service to fix said problems. So we decided to go with a local dealer and if it was worth the extra money to have the support of the dealer after the fact. So once again I can’t say enough about Ryan and Scott who were fantastic during this entire process to get our stove up and running.

Five stars simply isn't enough stars when it comes to rating these guys. Scott, Scott, Josh, and Josh are the greatest crew to work with, and any issues that may arise are always resolved quickly. As an ultra high end general contractor, we have very high standards when it comes to both product and communication and these guys deliver every time.
