First Impressions:|First-class presentation! The details given to each room and all the decor is thoughtful and precise! It was like stepping into a family country home, with a feeling of comfort beyond compare! We were greeted with a smile and felt so welcome!||We took some time to visit the gift shop area located in the vast kitchen/sitting area of the Inn.||Accommodation:|We stayed in the Secret Garden room and were overwhelmed by the immaculate and comfy presentation! All the windows, decor, cleanliness, and everything we needed, including a fan, which is a must-have for me to sleep at night! So bright and cheery. Vastly spacious and just astounding! There were juices and water in our mini-fridge, all free, as well as a plate of fresh homemade cookies and a bucket of ice were ready for use. We took the time immediately to sit down and read about how Claremont Inn and Winery came to be and decided it had to be a customer service mastermind who created this place.||Dinner:|We were greeted with the selection of wines we chose to sample, along with one of our hosts. We were also visited by the owner and mastermind, Dave! We also had a conversation with another couple after dinner, although we did have our own private table, which was quite romantic. Socialization with others is up to you, but we were happy to meet another couple from near our hometown||Our first meal in this hidden gem included an appetizer of flaky, buttery pastry filled with gourmet cheese. It was the perfect size to begin our meal. Next came a wonderfully healthy salad with fresh greens, walnuts, cranberries, and the most delectable light dressing. It was the perfect blend of salty and sweet. The main dish was a thick, juicy pork chop with an incredible sauce. It melted in my mouth and was served with brussel sprouts made in a way I never thought possible.||Finally, dessert, which I was too stuffed to eat! The food was so rich and filling. Perfect-sized servings, but we were able to take leftovers and dessert to our room to enjoy later.||Our second dinner, the second night we stayed, was equally incredible, beginning with a Puff pasty filled with Brie and served with a fig glaze. Followed by a kale salad with pancetta and pecorino cheese. I don't even LIKE kale and I fell in love with this salad! Our main course was a Balsamic glazed filet with dijon roasted potatoes and asparagus. Absolutely breathtaking. Our host, Daniel, was so knowledgeable and enjoyed telling us about his wine-making at the Inn. He does a FABULOUS job at that, as we have loved every wine we have tasted during our visit. Dinner was followed by a delectably rich Raspberry flourless chocolate mousse cake, which was decadent and perfect in every way, topped with a dollop of fresh whipped cream and a mint leaf.||Breakfast:|Our first breakfast was the most fluffy and soft scrambled egg dish with chicken apple sausage and a raspberry french toast that was equally delicious. Along with a fresh fruit cup and a fresh croissant served with honey, it was the perfect start to an equally perfect day.||Our final day's breakfast included a new recipe they tried: a Croissant bake with Gruyère cheese and pancetta. As usual, it was superb! Not missing a note, we had fresh canteloupe and strawberries and some lovely blueberry muffin tops. We also had a small Caprese dish along side our main course. ||Did I mention they grow their own herbs? They have a chef's garden filled with ingredients they use each and every day! Yet another attention to detail this amazing place shows!||Hosts/Owner|May I just say that this place has thought of everything! Everyone we encountered was friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable, and incredible! Dave, the owner, has lived here his entire life and knows just about anything about Stratton you might want to know. Everyone was positive and encouraging, laid back, relaxed, and wonderful. Daniel, a very knowledgeable young man, in every aspect of the inn, as well as Bradley, our first host during our stay, made us feel more than welcome and we will definitely be back!||Overall, do not miss this place. I seriously debated reviewing the Inn, as I wanted this hidden gem to stay hidden, but they deserve all the business they get and more! Do NOT miss this on your travels to the Eastern Plains in Colorado. It's worth the visit!
