I have been a customer for over 20 years and enjoy the staff. I buy chain saws and rent heavy equipment. Front counter staff is relatively new and as my daughter is pulling bodies out of a NC river, we asked to have a flyer posted for aid in this effort. We were told they didn't have time for this so I took back the flyer. Community spirit is a thing of the past apparently.

So my husband and I went in about 2 weeks ago to replace flag holders that had again failed us and snapped off due to strong winds. When we were describing our problem to the kind gentleman up front they went to see if they might of had anymore in stock for us. While looking they found they could order brass ones for us. We ordered 2 and they came in super quick and we got the phone call that we could pick them up. When I picked them up the gentleman who had ordered them for us said if we had problems with these to let them know and they would see what they could do but he didn't think these would give us problems. When my husband opened them and and felt how heavy and durable they were he was extremely excited and pleased with the purchase. I don't have names for those who helped us but they were so kind and professional and didn't seem annoyed with our questions and were happy to help. Thank you so much for going above and beyond to help us figure out a way to fix a problem that we hope is fixed for good now. We greatly appreciate the help and guidance we have gotten from your store anytime we go in for any kind of service. We will contine to be long time customers because of the genuine and kind customer service we received.

A newly constructed building located behind the old location, on Main Street in Southbury. Parking is located in the front if the building for the hardware store and in the rear for power equipment. The old building will be housing the rental equipment. Upon entering the store is clean neatly organized. The store has supplies in nearly all needed categories saving a trip to a big box store. For summer grilling, Weber products are in stock along with all accessories. As a Big Green Egg dealer, nearly all sizes are on display with again all accessories to make your neighbors envious. If home decor is on the honey do list, paints are in stock and custom mixing available. All of the associates that we met were helpful and friendly.

Newtown High School has used the service of Chatfield Rentals for over three years. We used Chatfield for our Prom and our Graduation ceremonies. We have found the staff at Chatfield to be most knowledgeable and courteous. From the staff in the office to the delivery people each and everyone was always extremely accommodating, polite, and professional. Last minute requests were always fulfilled in a timely manner. In addition to their professionalism, Chatfield cost of service is extremely competitive. We look forward to many more years working together.

I love this place... For the last 12 years I've been able to rely on them for many aspects of my business and my home...

Recently I needed keys made for a fleet vehicle. Travis took the time to guide me through the best purchase considering that he thought the vehicle may have a chip... He was right.

While I had to come back twice, both times he was kid, patient and very helpful. On the second visit he was able to program the key because he has the proper training and they have the equipment. What a blessing. Staff is always helpful and joyful. And John always goes out of his way to greet me and help. Even if I know where I'm going.

Chatfield True Value has been our trusted local source for hardware, garden and supply needs. Since we moved to town a few years ago, they have always welcomed us with a smile, helpful advice, excellent selection and good prices. I worried that in moving to the new and bigger store that they would lose touch with their personal approach, but I have found the opposite. They now have more space, better displays, more inventory and the same friendly and helpful staff. It is with great pleasure that I choose to shop locally with Chatfield over driving to big box stores in neighboring areas. I also love that when I am in a project and I need to go back a few times in a day or a week, that they are always there to greet me and to help me solve whatever problem I am working on that day.
