My experience with this company and its team has been fantastic. We originally met with Matt, who came out to take all of the measurements and go over all of the options for our front windows. The products are beautiful and high quality. He gave us a timeline to set expectations for how long it would take for the custom plantation shutters to be created and be ready to install.

The blinds came in sooner than expected, much to our joy, and Andrew came out yesterday to install them. He did a BEAUTIFUL job installing them — our living room looks so much more modern and beautiful. Thank you for your detailed, heart-felt work. I could tell how much pride (in the good sense) Andrew takes in doing a job right, and it shows in the quality of his work and the “little details” he takes care of to make it the best experience possible. He was very kind, professional, and thorough.

This review is in no way a reflection of all Budget Blinds. I've used a franchise in north Texas and the owners are wonderful. I requested an estimate for zebra sheer shades similar to my home in TX. 5 mins before the scheduled appointment time, the owner Matt called to say he thought someone stole his car. He claimed to be on St Pete Beach and later stated his car was towed. He politely suggested I find another company.

Concerned about his car, I said no worries, would you like to reschedule. He paused and said he'll have his office call me. Well, that never happened so I called his office. The assistant seemed surprised by his failure to keep the appointment. She said she would speak with Matt and call me back. Well, that never happened. I concluded Matt saw the exterior of my fixer bungalow and decided he didn't want to do business with me. Everyone who visits my home says I've done a wonderful job with the renovations.

Matt, keep your appointments and don't judge a book by it's cover!

After Matt posted the personal information of someone I do not know, I saw another post from a few years ago where he posted that person’s personal information. It’s certainly appropriate to refute another’s claim, but wow I guess that’s a strategy to throw caution at someone posting reviews. I’m so happy he didn’t make the appointment, I can now imagine what a service call would be like. SMH

I am well pleased with the service and product of Budget Blinds of St Petersburg! The owner, Matt, came to my home for the consultation and to give me an estimate. He brought sample products, explained everything and didn't pressure me to make a decision right then and there. Once I decided to buy the motorized solar shades for my sliders and window, I spoke with Karen in the office who placed the order for me. Budget Blinds asked for half of the money up front and wanted the other half after the shades were installed and I was happy. It seems like the right way to do business; unfortunately, it is not the way all shade/shutter companies do business. Matt said it would be 4 weeks from when I placed the order to when they were installed. He was absolutely spot on! Andrew came to my home today to install the shades. He was quick, efficient and very personable. He made sure I knew how to work the remote controls before he left. He said if I ever had a problem to give him a call directly and he would take care of it. I recommend this company and its staff with no reservations at all. This is business as it SHOULD be done! Well done Matt, Karen & Andrew. Oh, and they give a military discount too! Thank you.

I have used Pasadena location of Budget Blinds for at least a decade. Working with Matt and staff has always been super easy, they are very attentive, and wonderful to work with! Great affordable products, well made and in time as promised. Also equally important, very good follow up with any questions or ‘training’ on how to use new blinds if needed lol! Highly recommend !
