Budget Blinds of Enfield, located in Somers, CT has an amazing staff, a beautiful showroom, and amazing products. The experience begins by having a design consultation with Laurie Mongillo, Owner & Design Consultant. Laurie comes to your home - NO COST TO YOU - and gets a feel for your space, lighting, privacy, energy efficiency and overall form and function for your space. She listens to your needs, provides options, and spends time with you selecting what makes the best sense for you, your budget and your home.

This visit was imperative for me since I have ZERO design skills. Laurie brought a ton of samples for me to see, feel, and see how they function. I highly recommend going to the showroom, located in Somers, to see many of the products and test them out. Of course you have to do this by appointment only right now because of COVID, and I highly recommend it.

What many people don't know is even the "standard sized window" really isn't standard. Each opening will vary a bit, and it requires some level of customization to ensure the window/door looks amazing once installed.
That's why it's so important for Laurie to come measure.

I like to plan my finances for large purchases. I knew having 20+ window/door treatments was going to be expensive. Like all consumers I got multiple estimates, reviewed the warranties, the customer experience dealing with the sales people, and of course the quality of the product.

What set Budget Blinds of Enfield apart was the ability to have an experienced design person help me with form, function, and overall look/feel of what I wanted. She was able to take what she heard and translate my vision into reality. NO OTHER ENTITY/PERSON was able to do that for me.

She also gave me different price point options - good-better-best - so I could decide which best fit my budget and warranty options.

My advice - budget for this purchase because these are made specifically for your windows and they are priced as such. AND the value they add to my home now and at resale will provide me with the return-on-the-investment.

On with the process, next the order is placed, the product is made specifically for your home, and then it is installed. Braulio, one of the installers, is probably one of the nicest people you can meet. He doesn't get rattled and is highly skilled. He walked me through the use, care, and warranty.

Over the past year I purchased 20+ window treatments, including an arch in the master bedroom and a slider from the Budget Blinds of Enfield franchise. I want each of you reading this long review to remember three things 1) Work with Laurie & visit the showroom 2) the window treatments I purchased have made a significant contribution to the energy savings, privacy and overall beauty of my home. 3) I highly recommend giving Laurie and her team a call.

Please note - I'm still going to need Laurie to help me with Drapes/Fabrics to finish off the look!
