Black Carriage Furniture is the best furniture store! Travelled all the way up to Grand Junction from Durango after striking out locally to find solid wood furniture. The experience was amazing - just stepping into their showroom floor and smelling all the beautiful wood furniture we knew we were in the right place. They were so patient with us - took the time to go through all the catalogs to find the set we wanted - they have an amazing selection on the floor too.. where you can see the different wood and stains. Our bedroom set was delivered today and set up. We love it! The stain came out beautifully and we couldn’t be more happy. Now we’re already plotting our next visit to upgrade our kitchen table and chairs. Great people and absolutely stunning timeless furniture for any style! My wife and I purchased a beautiful dresser from Black Carriage. The owner and staff were extremely helpful and absolutely no pressure. They helped us decide exactly which woods we wanted to use, which hardware, and we were able to totally custom our new family heirloom.

When they delivered our dresser, which is by no means small, the movers (Black Carriage employees, not a third-party) were friendly, amiable, and yet professional. In addition, there is an extremely tight turn from our hallway to our bedroom and they acrobatically flipped the dresser around with aplomb, all while not so much as touching a wall or doorway. It was truly impressive!

If you're looking for an extremely well crafted piece of furniture that will last your lifetime and can be passed down from generation to generation, I highly recommend Black Carriage Furniture.

My husband had a wingback chair he loved. He had loved this chair for almost 45 years - but it finally went to the big furniture store in the sky. He didn't want a new style chair; he wanted an upright wingback chair to read in. He wanted his old chair - and if he couldn't have that, he wanted a chair just like it. We went to every furniture store in town. Nothing. No wingback chairs at all. No chairs he liked in any style. We walked into Black Carriage and the first chair we saw was exactly what he wanted - and it was clearly quality-built and reasonably priced. We bought it on the spot and the saleswoman who helped us even helped carry it to the car. In addition, had we not liked the color or pattern (we did), we could have special ordered the chair in, probably, over a hundred different colors or styles. By the way, while in the store, we noticed that all of the furniture appeared to be of quite good quality - better than we had seen in the other stores - and yet all reasonably priced. We particularly noticed that Black Carriage was carrying some unique, yet tasteful dining room sets and other pieces of wood furniture. What struck us was was that you could see the difference in the quality of Black Carriage furniture compared to some of the other stores' offerings just by looking at the furniture. We were impressed. We'll be back next time we need an item of furniture.

Growing up, my Dad made all of our furniture. He based all of his projects on plans designed by master Amish woodworkers in and around Pennsylvania. So when we discovered that Black Carriage carried furniture created and built by Amish furniture makers, we jumped at the opportunity to purchase a lamp, an end table, a desk, and a bookcase...all of which now GRACE our home. We have never been happier with the furniture we bought from Black Carriage...these pieces are masterworks of elegance!

We have purchased furniture at Black Carriage Furniture a couple of times. Both experiences were positive ones. The owners and staff are very kind, helpful and professional. Our first purchase was an heirloom quality headboard that was Amish handcrafted. Recently we bought a Flexsteel sofa and chair. We are very happy with the excellent service and all the beautiful furniture we have ordered at Black Carriage, and we know the high quality of it will stand the test of time. We appreciated the delivery men taking great care when handling the furniture and getting it set up for us. We will return to Black Carriage when we are in need of furniture in the future.

Shopping and choosing my custom fabric was easy. I purchased an electric recliner so it would be easier on my back as I had major back surgery a few years ago.
Now that I’ve received it, I am very pleased.
My new chair is very nice, comfortable and supportive to my back. The new fabric patters is great, as well?
